Stargate Eva
Disclaimer: The following characters either belong to the Sci-Fi channel, Gainax Studios, or my own imagination, if either of the two companies ask me to take off this fic, then I will with a heavy heart but do so nonetheless. Bear with me though cause this is my first work of fanfiction and being a sophmore in High school dosen't help.
South Pole: 1957
"Professor Keel, come quick!! We've found something you wouldn't believe, hurry, hurry!"
"What is it?"
"It's something that I don't think anyone on the face of the planet has seen for several thousands of years, but it doesn’t look even human in the slightest."
"Ok but ‘What’ is it?”
"It’s some kind of giant ring"
As Lorenz Keel rounded the bend of the frigid little compound, he arrived to an unbelievable site.
A giant ring is being pulled out of the Antartic ice with nearly all the avalible laborers pulling on various ropes to hoist it up, and a few people with shovels and pickaxes trying to clear some ice from it.
"Well I’ll be damned, it’s the Stargate. It has been finally found after all these years,” said Keel, "though it wasn't where it was supposed to be."
Several hours later, in a small dark room, a meeting was being held.
"How do you explain the failure in Giza Keel?" said SELEE 08.
"The gate simply wasn't found. The coverstone and all the signs of a Gate were there, but the gate was never located," replied Keel, "we swept the area with a naquada locator and only found traces of it ever being there."
"The Dead Sea Scrolls have never lead us awry before, is it possible that they are untrue?" stated SELEE 03.
"Nothing is infallible," and with that said, Keel signed off.

South Pole: September 13, 2000
"Now, does everyone know what is going to happen tomorrow because Gendo Ikari and I have to leave in about 5 hours to get to the new HQ just outside of Tokyo for an important but tediously boring meeting that needs to be in person. So just do as the plan says and everything should be fine. We'll be back in a week or so to check on everything."
"Ok sir, see you in a week," the meeting room occupants stated in unison while they rushed to their jobs.
In the hallway, two people were going just a little too fast and rammed right into each other. Both got up slowly.
"Hey, how many times have I told you to watch where your going squirt. This must be the third time this week you've run into me."
"Ouch, thanks Jackie, I'm gonna have a headache all day now."
"How many times have I told you Squirt, my name is Jack, not Jackie!" yelled Colonel Jack O'Neil, wondering if the young one will ever get his name straight.
"If I have to call you Jack, then you have to call me Misato. Squirt is an annoying name." rebutted Misato.
While wondering what to come back with, he ended up wondering why such a young person would ever end up in a base down here at the bottom of the world Antartica. But then again his son was here as well, and at least he had made a friend. Ever since he had come out to the Pole a month ago he had seen his son play with Misato constantly. They're almost inseparable after all this time. He doesn’t want to leave his son, but he must if only for a week. They just seem so happy when they're together.
"Hey Misato, whatcha doin’ today?"
"Oh, hey Jack, not much. Just gonna go outside the compound for a bit with your son and wander."
"Ok then Misato, be careful out there"
"I will Jack, say, are you going up to Tokyo this afternoon?"
"Yes Misato, unfortunately I have a big meeting up there. Well I have to go get ready now, so I'll see you in a week."
"Ok then, bye Jack!"

Deeper into the compound, 200 meters down from the South Pole:
"Ok people, let’s fire it up.", said Dr. Daniel Jackson, the second in command of the Katsuragi research team. Daniel was taken down to Antartica to help decipher the symbols on the gate, and he has stayed on to help run the newly formed Stargate Program. They hadn't been able to get the Gate to work, but he was hoping that was about to change today.
Right outside the command room, a big ring is seen spinning. The PA system crackles to life.
“All personel, clear the gate room immediately. The Dialing Sequence is about to commence.”
The sound of stone grating on stone fills the room as the giant gate turns.
“Chevron One is locked.”
“Chevron Two is locked.”
“Chevron Three is locked.”
The Stargate began to vibrate more and more as the chevrons lock into place
“Chevron Four is locked.”
The gate starts to shake more violently now, along with most of the room and equipment.
"We probably should have put shock absorbers on the thing." One of the technicians jokes.
“Chevron Five is locked.”
“Chevron Six is locked“.
The Stargate is causing the whole compound to shake now.
“Chevron Seven is.....locked”
A great big puddle-like wormhole appears on the inside of the gate and then protrudes from it for a moment, then goes back in. Cheers are heard all around the control room.
"We’ve done it, after forty years, we've finally established a wormhole!"
The sound of applause are heard throughout the control room.
“Ok people, now send in the MALP. Let's see where we ended up.”
“MALP away.”

In another part of the complex, an hour later.
“Commence operation!”
“Crane start up sequence commencing…ok, begin pushing in the lance.”
All of a sudden a computer started to display some weird code upon the screen.
“Dr. Katsuragi, you’d better come and look at this.” says some operator.
“What am I looking at?” asks Dr. Katsuragi.
“I’m not sure, but it doesn’t appear to have any effect on this operation.”
“Ok then, we can check it later. Continue with the operation!”
“What are you doing dad?” asks Misato.
“Oh hi Misato, I’m just gonna poke that thing over on the wall with that lance and see what happens.”
“Ok, can I watch dad, please.”
“Sure honey, you can watch for a little bit.”
“Inserting Lance of Longinus now."
"2% inserted"
"3% inserted"
"5% inserted"
"Now coming up to stop point"
"6% inserted"
"7% inserted"
"9% inserted"
"10% inserted, initializing stop sequence.”
“Dr. Katsuragi, the crane won’t stop, the lance is still being pushed into the core! 12%, 15% it isn’t stopping Sir!!”
“Have electrical cut power to the crane now before it goes in any further!”
“Sir, electrical said that they just cut the power and, what?? It still isn’t stopping! And the lance is starting to give off some strange energy readings."
“Sir, at this rate, it will pass the maximum recommended limit in 30 seconds.”
“20% inserted sir!”
“Cut the cranes hydraluic lines now!”
“Sir, the crane dosen't seem to be pushing it, wait a minute, it’s the Lance itself, it’s being pulled in by the angel! Its gonna go beyond the maximum recommended insertion limit!!”
30% inserted, it’s beyond the limit!!!
All of a sudden, the ground started to shake violently as the being later known as the first angel woke up. Needless to say, it wasn’t very happy. It started by unfolding its AT Field, thusly destroying a good deal of the control room. It didn’t like the fact about being woken up, so it began storing energy and headed off to the nearest concentration of humans, the Stargate control room.

Back in the Gate Room:
“What was that?” a slight tremor struck the room, just as Adam woke up and started its rampage.
“Probably the gate, continue to run diagnostics on it.” Seconds later rapid typing was heard in the immediate area.
“The gate’s fine sir, it wasn’t it.”
“Then what the hell was it then?”
From the other side of the control room,
“Sir, our sensors just picked up an anomaly; it's coming toward us at 90 km an hour!”
“What could possibly be coming at us that fast?”
“Sir, cameras 102 and 103 have view of the anomaly, should it be put on screen?”
“Yes, I want to know what it is that is coming at us.”
The main plasma screen shifted from gate diagnostics to live video feed. Silence and surprise hung in the air.
Someone said,” What the fuck it that?”
The screen showed an enraged Adam who was charging at full steam toward the gate complex, eyes glowing and claws extended.
“That is not good.”
At that moment, Adam arrived above the complex and deployed its AT-wings…
Misato Katsuragi stared upon the carnage in horror from her little escape pod as Adam unfolded his wings and wrought carnage unto the poor souls on the Katsuragi base on the continent of Antarctica. What she failed to notice was the blob of light that was floating away toward the sky.
