Chapter 1-Otakus are dangerous people.

 

This story was developed about two years ago. I’m just lazy. I have taken an approach in telling this story in two perspectives. One will be a guy named Aikani Sablan and the other is everyone’s favorite pushover Shinji Ikari. This actually runs as a… maybe I shouldn’t spoil the ending theme just yet. It’ll be something so out of the ordinary it’ll make you say, “WHAT THE FUCK!” At least I hope it does-Author

Prologue: A boy name Aikani Sablan lives a regular mundane life. On the night of his fourteenth birthday he is attacked by creatures from a video game he’s playing. The creatures overwhelm him and he is transported to a place only one other has been to. He is then greeted by a being of light. This being tells him of his destiny and how he must save a world. Kinda cliché don’t ya think?

 

Aikani (POV)

Head… pounding… damn was all that just a dream? I turn to my other side as the sun hits my face. I felt something beneath my finger that shouldn’t be there. Grass. I’ve never fallen asleep on the lawn before. What the fuck?! How’d I end up here? Last thing I remember is… the Heartless! I open my eyes to look around and was greeted by a pleasant green surrounding. I then turn my head to see a duffle bag with my name on it. That’s strange.

I stood up to get a better feel of my surroundings. As I got up the pain in my lower body alerted something to me. My legs feel like liquid shit. The elevation makes it seem like I’m on a hill or something like it. I then take a better look at what surrounds me. My eyes caught a large structure that I didn't notice before. Holy shit… “It’s a fucking city!” Now normally you don’t see that sort of thing on a small island in the middle of the pacific. And last time I checked cities don’t sink into the ground at the sound of alarms. “Oh this is really some stoner shit.” I looked behind me to spot a parking lot. “It appears I’m at some sort of lookout. Where the hell am I?”

My thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sight of smoke in the distance. To be more specific a giant mushroom cloud. I moved further to get a better view, until I could see the full form of the cloud. Only one thing could have caused something like that. But what would have caused a nuclear explosion on Guam? “Wait, what the hell am I thinking? My family! Oh shit!” I felt helpless as I tried to look for a means of any transportation I could use. I just hope everyone’s alright. Damn it there’s nothing around here but a bunch of cars. Cars... Ugh, I know I’ll get in trouble for this but I got more important shit to think about. I flew to the nearest car, a blue one. And started to… wait a sec, flew? I looked towards the ground expecting to see my feet on the ground, but they weren’t.

“A… what… why… WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!!!” I suddenly dropped to the ground to land on my ass. I just stared at my feet hoping for an explanation to come up but none came.

After the initial shock I started to try reasoning with myself. “Get a hold of yourself Aikani. Be reasonable, humans can’t fly. Right?” But then again Heartless aren’t suppose to be real either. Such things like this was simple not possible for a logical obeying person like myself. I looked up towards the giant cloud and realized what brought me to the car in the first place. “Damn, I got no time for this!” Preceding to the side of the car another unexpected event happened as I tried to open the door. This car’s door has faulty hinges. Heh... heheheh… “Hahahahaha!!!” This isn’t real! All of this isn’t real! I’m still sleeping. That’s it, yeah. There’s no Heartless, no strange light woman, and I know for a fact that humans simply can’t fly, they can’t rip car doors off and car doors don’t weigh the same as a pillow!

“I got it. In dreams you can’t get hurt. So, since this is a dream I’ll just pick this car up and drop it on myself. That’ll work for sure, because I am a genius!” The car was relatively light, probably the same as a gallon of milk. Okay, here goes nothing. I then tossed the car into the air and waited for the dream to end, unfortunately…-BOOM- “You know if this was a dream I would’ve waken up by now. If it was real life I should’ve died at the very least. But to still be breathing with only scratches… heh. This is 100% pure bullshit!”

Okay, calm down and think. What the hell did that light lady do to me? (Light lady: “No, you’re too important to die this easily.”) Well that’s an obvious duh. But what was that other thing she said? (Light lady: “Please listen to what I’m about to say, you must help them, it’s your destiny. Only you can change the outcome of this war. Please, if not for the rest of humanity then at least for your brother.”) War? Angels? “Why the hell did I think of angels all of a sudden? Brother? My brother’s an annoying little punk whose gonna get his ass kicked if I find him again. Damn, what was the woman talking about?!” (Light lady: “You give me hope for a better future. One that I could not possibly imagine for this world.”) Err… my head… why did she have to say so many confusing things? Energy… Dragonball… “Now’s not the time to be thinking about anime” But… maybe... that blue car.

“Hell, worth a shot. Kaaa (warmth) meeee (my arms) haaaa (where the hell is that light coming from?) meeeee (son of a bitch) haaaaaa!!!” A blue beam emitted from a blue ball that formed from my hands and completely turned the car into a couple of pieces of molten metal. “Oh shit! I got Dragonball powers! Yippee! This is so cool!” My moment of happiness was thrown away as I looked into the sky to see the cloud still there. Fuck, I just destroyed my transportation. Oh well, couldn’t drive anyways. Now what? (Gohan: “Try pushing your energy downwards.”) If I flew once I could do it again! Calm down… calm down… focus. After two minutes of ‘meditation’ I looked down to see my feet no longer touching the ground. “Alright, time to go. Shit, I think I got ADD or something with the way my mind wanders on.”

Flying isn’t too difficult once you get the hang of it, it only takes a couple minutes of practice and you’re set! Now it’s about time I checked out that cloud. I moved my body forward and was off. The scenery here is nothing like on Guam. Too little vegetation, not the right humidity, not even any good looking beaches. Where the hell am I? As I continued on I came across a small city that looked like one of those European cities from World War 2, in other words shitty. Damn, not even a dog would go near that place. My flight increased in speed as I moved on towards the cloud. As my view became clearer of the site I notice something red pass by my view.

“What the?” It was all I could say as I before an out of placed tree stopped me. That really hurts. “Goddamn it… gotta work on the breaks.” I got up and looked around for the source of my distraction. What I saw answered as many questions as well as raise a lot more. “Okkaayyy, now I know I’ve gone completely insane.” This was the only possible explanation for the sight of a giant red mech on some type of rig. But as soon as I got a glimpse of it I knew what it was. I wouldn’t be an otaku if I didn’t. It was Eva Unit 02. If that’s there then I know I’m not on Guam any more. Fuck, not even in my own world any more. Oh, this is complete bullshit. As I was brought out of my thoughts I noticed that the Eva was already gone.

A loud roar suddenly made me turn around to see what caused it. I stared at the large crater and two smoky figure in the middle. “Guess I know what made the mushroom cloud. Most likely an N-2 mine. Well, well, well, what do we have here?” I looked at the grotesque figures in the middle of the impact, as they were forms I’d have seen before. The Seventh Angel, Israfel, capable of splitting itself in two and double-teaming its opponent. A thought came to mind as I noticed their weakened state.

“Time to see how powerful I truly am now. Hehehehehe… this’ll be fun.” I flew towards the creatures at the fastest speed available to me at the moment. As I reached a good kilometer I posed for my attack. “Super Dragon-Fiisssstttt!!!” As my attack was about to land on one of the creatures an orange hexagon stopped it completely. “Oh fuck, forgot about the AT-Field!” I quickly reorganized my posture for my next move. This time an energy wave. “Kamehamehaa!!!” My beam headed for the Angel’s core but was stopped once again by the field. More power! As my concentration rose, my energy wave had gotten larger. “Come on you piece of shit!” As I wondered whether it was working or not the Angel groaned. It then started to slide backwards as the AT-Field look like it was buckling. The Angel then fell down on its back along with my strength. “Shit, I don’t have enough energy for the final blow.”

I looked down at the Angel and its current state. If this was a full blown battle I would’ve lost on terms of who would last the longest. Not to mention the other one is just staring at me. Now I know why these things are hard to kill without an Eva. “I’ll deal with you next time, bitch.” It replied with an odd sort of grunt. “Hmph, next time I’ll win. See ya.”

I flew away and headed back to the spot where I had first entered this weird world. Keeping an eye out for Eva Unit-02 or 01. I had to think of my next course of action. And figure out of plan on getting home. If it was possible. As I turned my head I saw the Angels, one lying on the ground and the other just staring with that stupid mask thing. I couldn’t help but smile. “Guess I’m a dangerous person now. Hmmm… wonder if anyone at NERV could help me out. Maybe I could get a peek at Rei’s panties while I’m there. HEHEHEHAHAHAHHAHAHMWAHAHAHAHA!!!” Man, I really am a perv.

Chapter 2-First impressions are really important.

 

Last Chapter: Aikani had just entered the world of NGE and was a little bit worried about it. He had many questions and few answers. But in a few minutes it didn't seem to matter as he had discovered he had powers, Dragonball powers. He then engages a fight with a disabled Seventh Angel and realizes his limits. Now his search for answers has him heading for NERV. Man, this guy really doesn't know what he's doing.

Aikani (POV)

As I sat I couldn't help but wonder about the beauty of the city. Unfortunately I couldn't dwell on such beauty as I was once again reminded by myself that I had more important matters at hand. Like my many questions and how I could get back to my own world. I let out a sigh before looking to my side at the duffle bag next to me. I haven't really paid as much attention to it as I should have considering that it had my name on it. "Wonder what's in it. Couldn't be mine since I don't own no duffle bags." Maybe it has a solution to my current crisis. I opened it and turned it upside down to let it contents spill out. What I saw really came to a shock to me.

As all of the contents of the bag came out it became clear that it had my name for a reason. What was in the bag was an assortment of my personal belongings. "What the hell? My deodorant, my body spray, my toothbrush, my clothes, a shit load of my DVD's and games. What the... why are my consoles in here too? Damn how did my wallet get in here? Hey! A couple of my magazines are here." I took a look at my magazines to see what was there, and wasn't surprise to see porn... I mean was surprise to see porn.

"Whoa, what the fuck?! I don't have any porn! Now this isn't mine." As I calmed down I went to check my wallet. It contained everything I thought was in it and a hundred thousand yen. What? When did I get a hundred thousand yen? This just gets freakier by the minute. I then saw my eighth grade picture. A weak looking boy with dark brown hair, and hazel brown eyes. Hehehe, he looks awfully familiar. "Hmph, what a loser!" My how sarcasm is useless without other people.

As I stopped messing with the bag I then concentrated about my primary objectives. Go to NERV, find out the situation, and figure a way to get home. "That sounds simple enough. Wonder if my plan has anything to do with me lacking common sense? ...Oh well, it can't be such a bad thing. Could it?" As I stopped wondering about this trivial fact I noticed the city once again changed shape. More buildings? Wonder what that means. I then set off over the outskirts of the city. As I looked down I finally realized what this city meant and its name. "Stupid me. That should've been obvious the moment I saw Unit-02. Tokyo-3, only one fortress city has buildings growing out of the ground. Only place where I might find some answers." Another more important question still bugged me as I looked down upon the city.

What... the hell... am I... doing in this stupid Eva world?! It just doesn't make sense!!! I then looked up to nearly dodge a skyscraper. I was already in the city's center as I noticed the increase number of buildings. I stopped to take a look at the great city, once again. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. And that's saying something considering I once peeked in on the girl's locker room while the girl I had a crushed on was also in there. Naked. Ahh, good times, good times. I grinned as I thought of a way to ditch the porn. "Now let's see. Holy shit, it that Kensuke?" As I took a closer look, I verified on the target. "I wonder how he'll react to porn falling from the sky." (Touji: What's with you? You look tired. Kensuke: You should've seen what was falling from the sky! It took me a while to grab all of them!) That perv will probably do it. Let's see what he does.

I calculated wind speed, trajectory and anything else that might happen. Then tossed it according to my calculations and... it fell right in front of him. He did as I expected and took it immediately and ran in the opposite direction. "What a goddamn perv. Hehe, though I didn't expect him to move that fast. Now on to NERV!" I used all of the means around me to figure out a way into NERV. Which was easy if you listened to people's conversations.

My newfound information on the city led me to a subway like entrance. Although, I've never seen a real subway in my life. Looks like eavesdropping paid of after all. I went down only to see metal shutters. Tricky. I sent a shockwave of my energy to disable the alarms and disposed of the doors quickly. The journey downwards was uneventful as I saw a train like vehicle. All the doors were open. "Shit, how the hell am I supposed to know what to do next?!"

Old Man: "Hey kid." My attention turned to an old man on the vehicle.

Aikani: "Huh?"

Old Man: "Shut up!" Man, people in Tokyo-3 sure are grumpy, or maybe it's because he's old. Yup, defiantly old. As I stepped into the machine it automatically turned on and I was left to find a seat. However, the scenery was too cool to past up.

"Ahhh, a real geofront." I pressed my face closer to the glass to get a better look. Several buildings outlined the ground area. In the middle was the giant pyramid of NERV headquarters. As the vehicle continued down I was struck by a new thought that could halter my plans. "Now, how do I get in without being noticed?" Super speed? No, I'm not that fast for all those cameras at the main gate. How can I... -Snore- That old man. He's a NERV employee. Maybe I can borrow' his ID card and manipulate it to my advantages.

"Hey gramps, mind if I take your card?" No answer. "What? You don't mind at all? Thanks gramps! Heheheh." Now to put my plan into action. As the vehicle came to a stop, I quickly used my incredible speed to bypass early security patrols. It was not until I got to the front I had to use the card. Two guards stood by the main entrance as men and women passed by flashing there ID's. I tried moving forward without detection but it was no use.

Guard: "Whoa, sorry kid. No ummm... kids allowed." This guy looks like an idiot.

Aikani: "Sorry sir, I was supposed to meet my grandpa inside. I brought his second ID to get in." I love being a quick thinker.

Guard: "Your grandpa?" He took a close look at the ID. The other was reaching for his gun. "Oh, it's okay Kei. He's Sadamoto's boy."

Kei: "Grandson! Didn't know that old guy had kids." They seemed to relax a bit by this information.

Guard: "Okay kid you can go. Tell your gramps we said hi." They moved aside to let me pass.

Aikani: "Don't worry about it, I plan to." Idiots. I passed by them as fast as I could and was greeted by my next challenge. "NERV...is...fucking...huge." Escalators here, elevators there. Ugh, how am I supposed to find them now? I then remembered about the episode of Evangelion I had stumbled into. "Yeah, they should be in the briefing/debriefing room with Fuyutsuki. Okay!" Those where the only words I could say before looking around noticing I was still lost. I then saw a woman wearing the standard uniform, but something about her seemed familiar. Maybe she could help. She looks like she knows where she's going. I walked over and tapped her on her shoulder.

Aikani: "Ummm. Excuse me." She turned around and I was stunned to see who it was.

Maya: "Yes. Can I help you?" Oh shit, she's really cute in person. As I was about to ask her a question a thought came up. Maya+Lemons=Erection. Shit, I must be as red as a fuckin tomatoe.

Aikani: "Well... uh... I'm looking... for Vice Commander Fuyutsuki... and I... uhhh... got lost."

Maya: "Oh the Vice Commander? He should be on Sub-Level 3, Corridor 5, in the conference room. May I ask why?" She was looking at me strangely. This made the blood in my body start moving in two opposite directions, to my face and down to my groin.

Aikani: "Well my grandpa's the janitor and he said if I got lost looking for him I just had to ask which floor the Vice Commander was on and that's where he is. Hahahah." She looked like she was gonna say something but smiled at me warmly.

Maya: "Okay then, just asking. I'm glad to be of help." More blood, more blood. Damn if this keeps up I'll pass out from a heat stroke. Wait don't they have air conditioning in this place? Oh yeah, they do.

Aikani: "Don't mention it. It was nice meeting you and thanks for the help." I turned to leave and was stopped when she said something.

Maya: "Wait, what's your name?" Oh shit! No girl has ever asked me my name before! This isn't a dream right?!

Aikani: "Aikani. Aikani Sablan! Umm... what's yours?"

Maya: "Ibuki. Maya Ibuki. Well it was nice meeting you. Bye." This is one cool day!

Aikani: "Same here Maya, bye." I once again turned but was stop.

Maya: "I really like you eyes." She turned and started jogging in the opposite direction. Oh, I can't believe I had a normal conversation with a girl who was a stranger. Hmm, how come every girl I meet they always say I have nice eyes? Although, that seems to be my only redeeming feature.

I decided to use an elevator to get to my destination. I pressed the button and waited until, it opened. What I saw almost made me shit my pants. Oh fuck. Gendo Ikari was inside, alone, and was starring at me. I wanted to go in but it seemed I couldn't move my legs. Why? What's happening to me? C'mon, move it! What's this feeling? I've felt it before. I'm afraid. It's just like that time I was hit by that car. I'm afraid of dying. Is that it? I always thought if I ever saw him in real life I wouldn't be scared in the slightest bit. However, it clearly showed why so many in this world fear him. Whatever it is about him thats scary was only intensified by those damn glasses. Just as the doors closed, he said something.

Gendo: "Shinji?" It was fully closed and I regain my composure. I pressed the button again and waited for the next elevator. As one opened up I was fearful if that old bastard was in there. It appeared empty and as it closed I immediately thought of what Gendo and SEELE was up to.

Aikani: "Damn Gendo-bastard. It's really fuck up, isn't it? Third Impact and Instrumentally. Damn, if Shinji would just have a little more backbone, dammit." I slammed my fist to the side. "If he would just follow what he believes in he'd probably prevent everything that'll happen. Would it be right if I told them about End of Evangelion? HAHAHAHHAHA! They'll think I'm out of my mind and lock me up for trespassing... But then again." Those words were less then a whisper, as I feared someone overhearing me. I looked down at my bag to remember that it contained all of my DVD's, including End of Evangelion. If they knew could they prevent it? Maybe, but then again someone would talk and who knows what'll happen if Gendo... or SEELE found out. Things might get ugly too soon. Ugh... why should I care what happens to this world. All I should be worried about right now is getting back to my own world.

Then something obvious struck me for any NGE otaku. Why is he here? He should be out of the country in this episode. And Maya! She should be down in the conference room, shouldn't she? What's going on? Is it following the manga storyline?

The doors opened and I stuck my head out. I saw no one. I don't have time for these kinds of ideas, gotta find Fuyutsuki. As I exited the elevator I took notice of all the security cameras. "Damn, they really have this place locked down. Now let's see conference room, conference room." I walked down one corridor after another and finally saw my goal. "Ahh, here it is." A thought entered my mind as I finally took a look around the corridor. Why aren't there any people down here? And why isn't there any security guards here? My thoughts were ruined as I heard yelling coming from the room. I opened it slowly and looked inside.

A certain red head: "You're just a jerk!"

A certain wimp: "Me?! You were in such a rush to show off, you disregarded procedure!"

Asuka: "What was that? You look like a drowned rat!"

Shinji: "You... You can't say that kind of thing to me!" Man, those two need marriage counseling. Okay, that's defiantly from the anime. -Clink- Huh? Wonder what that noise was, maybe just a rat. Ritsuko had just started talking.

Ritsuko: "At 11:05 AM, the UN forces made an attack with an N2 mine.

Fuyutsuki: "We'll have to redraw the map again."

Ritsuko: "They succeeded in burning off 78% of the angels' structured substance."

Asuka: "Well, it they kinda look dead."

Fuyutsuki: "This is merely temporary relief. A second attack is a matter of time. But what worries me is where that blue beam of energy came from." Hey, hey they're talking about me!

Ritsuko: "At the current moment we don't have enough data to support a reasonable hypothesis." Hehehe, they're completely in the dark.

Fuyutsuki: "Well, that'll be okay for now. All right you two. Just what do you think your job is?"

Asuka: "Piloting Eva?"

Fuyutsuki: "Wrong! It's to beat the angels. NERV does not exist to make grotesque public spectacles like this. Therefore, the two of you will learn to work together.

Shinji &Asuka: "Why should we?!" Were they always this hostile to each other? As I was thinking I was suddenly pushed from behind and fell in.

Fuyutsuki: "What is the meaning of this?! We're in an important meeting!" I fumbled around to get the person off of me and found I was tackled by two guards. Then something awful happened. Holy shit! I was able to get them off and stood in anger. What they did was unforgivable! These bastards grabbed me!!!...In that place!

Aikani: "Why you! I'll kill you! AHAAA!!!" The fist I threw was so full of energy that it turned into what look like a thousand punches. And it was over. Yes! Two enemies, KO, a thousand exp. points for each! The two guards  were both etched into the crater of the wall. "Well I sure showed them not to mess with me. Ha-ha!" Silence was all I could here after I closed my mouth. I looked around to see everyone just staring at me or the unconscious guards. "Umm... hi? It's very nice to finally meet you all."

Misato: "Shinji?"

Shinji: "Huh?"

Rei: "Ikari?"

Shinji: "What?"

Ritsuko: "He looks exactly like..."

Fuyutsuki: "...The Third."

Shinji: "Who?" Damn, I guess I know why Asuka's always calling him an idiot now. I smiled at the fact Shinji looked really dumbfounded.

Asuka: "Idiot! Look at wonderboy!" Wonderboy? Why the hell am I wonderboy all of a sudden? By now all of them were looking between me and Shinji. Probably going on Asuka's word, but I kinda do see a small resemblances. Shinji still looked a little confused.

Shinji: "Well he does sort of look like me." Wrong answer, Asuka looked offended.

Asuka: "Are you saying I'm wrong, Third? Moron! He could pass of as your twin!" I pulled out my school photo from my pocket to see what all the fuss was about was and put it side by side with Shinji's face. You know, I hate it when she's right because she can become really bitchy. There was no doubt now as I looked on as my potential twin' was in a heated argument with Asuka. They look like husband and wife. I sighed as I found myself thinking too much about my home world and the fanfics I use to read.

Misato: "Excuse me, not to be rude but who are you?" I looked up to see the person who had asked the question. I staggered back for an unknown reason. Misato looked troubled by my recent action.

Misato: "Oh, how silly of me. My name is Misato, Misato Katsuragi. Um... Ritsu."

Ritsuko: "Hello, I'm Doctor Ritsuko Akagi."

Fuyutsuki: "Vice Commander Fuyutsuki." Did he have to say it so formally? -Thud- Asuka had Shinji pinned to the floor, in what appeared to be a headlock.

Misato: "Children!" Rei stood up and bowed while Asuka and Shinji fumbled around to get up.

Rei: "Rei A" Before she could finish I cut her off.

Aikani: "Ayanami, right? Designated pilot of Eva Unit-00. The First Child. Birthday March 30, 2001."

Rei: "Correct." She just sat back down. But the weird thing was she kept her eyes on me even after fully sitting on her chair. By now both Shinji and Asuka was up and had bowed. Shinji's bow was okay while Asuka gave me a quick nod.

Shinji: "Shi" Without hesitating I spoke for him and Asuka.

Aikani: "Shinji Ikari. Designated pilot of Eva Unit-01. The Third Child. Birthday June 6, 2001 and Asuka Langley Soryu. Pilot of Eva Unit-02, the Second Child, and Birthday December 4 2001." Damn, do these people do anything but stare?

Asuka: "What the? Hey how do you know so much about me?" Doesn't she mean us, including Shinji? Didn't I just say... never mind. Come on Aikani, think fast.

Aikani: "Of course everyone knows about the famous Eva pilots. Who doesn't know about the saviors of the world?" Phew, they seem to be buying it. For now. When I looked at their faces, I could see a sort of anticipation in them. Oh yeah!

Aikani: "Sorry about that, my mind kinda wondered off. I'm Aikani Sablan. Please to meet you dudes and dudettes. Hehe."

Misato: "Saban?"

Aikani: "No, Sablan."

Misato: "Saburan?"

Aikani: "Sa-blan." This is why I don't like my last name. 

Misato: "That's not exactly a Japanese family name. So where do you come from?" She said that last part with the seriousness I expected from a major. Straight to the point with this one. Wait; is she even a major at this point? It's been a while since I've watched NGE. Fuyutsuki stepped forward with an awkward look on his face.

Fuyutsuki: "What I'm more concern about is how you got in here, in NERV itself?" Shit, if I tell them that story about that old guy they'll get him to tell the truth. I opened my mouth to speak but stopped as Misato spoke first.

Misato: "Vice Commander with all due respect sir, perhaps it'll be best if we leave that sort of questioning till next time. The pilots are also very tired from today's operations. Perhaps we could schedule this meeting another day?" Man this'll be the end if he disagrees, and I just got here. In an instant I saw all the tiredness of the forty or fifty some year old man as he gave in easily.

Fuyutsuki: "Very well, there's been enough excitement for one day. Captain I'm leaving the plan of attack on the Seventh Angel up to you. I'll need it by tomorrow, understand? I'll handle the commander." He got into a box with railing that was in the back of the room.

Misato: "Understood sir. We'll get on it right away." The box thing started to descend into the floor and Fuyutsuki disappeared along with it. Well you don't see that everyday. Besides from helping the greatest asshole of all time, Fuyutsuki is pretty alright. Misato and Ritsuko then turned their attention upon me once more.

Misato: "So where do you come from, Sablan isn't Japanese that's for sure. Are you from Okinawa by any chance? Or maybe Hawaii? You know because of your tan." Both Shinji and Asuka started talking to each other. It soon ended with Asuka hitting Shinji on his head. Ritsuko then approached me.

Ritsuko: "So what's your blood type?" Although I would've told her it without a moment's hesitation, something kept me from saying it. Basically Misato's weird stare.

Misato: "Ritsu, I didn't know you were looking for a boyfriend!" Ritsuko then leaned over to her and started whispering something to her. Misato looked like she finally understood.

Misato: "Now I get it. Well it makes sense you'd be interested considering that he looks like Shinji."

Ritsuko: "You know, you've never could keep quiet with these kinda things." I just stood there wondering if it would be better if I intervened or not. Something caught my ears.

Shinji: "He really does look like me doesn't he?"

Asuka: "Not so loud, moron. It's just really weird seeing another one of you around. As if one wasn't bad enough already.

Shinji: "What's that suppose to mean?"

Maybe I should just tune them out. Wait, that just leaves...Rei. You really do forget about here if she doesn't talk. Our eyes met and my heart skipped a beat. Damn, this girl is really cute. My attention was unfortunately taken away as Misato immediately put her arm around my shoulder.

Misato: "Don't worry Ritsuko, we'll have him sleep over at our place till he gets his own." Too close, perverted-ness kicking in.

Ritsuko: "You haven't even asked him about his parents yet."

Misato: "Oh yeah, my bad. Hehe" Something's weird here. Can't put my finger on it but this feeling is...

Ritsuko: "So mister Sablan, where are your parents right now?" Oh shit.

Aikani: "My parents...umm... my parents are..." Dead. "Dead. I was told they died at my home town after it was wiped out by a tsunami. I've been living with my martial arts teacher all my life until recently. He just recently passed away. He told me to come to Tokyo-3."

Ritsuko: "Oh... I'm sorry for bringing that up."

Aikani: "That's okay."-Sob, sob- What the? I located the source of the noise as it came right next to me. Misato?

Misato: "I can understand how you feel." Right, I remember now. Misato's family they're all dead. "Then that settles it! He'll stay at our place."

Shinji &Asuka: "Whhaaaatttt???!!!!" That was loud. Better stay out of this and let the adults handle it.

Misato: "Hey, at least till he gets his own place. Got it you two?!"

Shinji &Asuka: "Yes ma'm!"

Ritsuko: "Then that settles it. Mister Sablan will be living with you till we can find him an adequate place to stay. Right, captain?"

Misato: "Right, well if that's all then let's get out of here!" Wait a minute. Aren't we forgetting something? A feeling ran through my spine as two red eyes met mine once again. Oh yeah, Rei.

Aikani: "Umm. Miss Katsuragi?"

Misato: "Misato's fine. Mister Sablan." I grinned brightly at her for the quick joke.

Aikani: "Aikani's okay but I was wondering, about her." I pointed to Rei who was still sitting on that chair.

Misato: "Rei! Would you like to come back to our place? I noticed how much you were staring at Aikani here."

Rei: "If that is an order. Then that'll be fine." She got up and joined us as we walked. "And I wasn't staring, mister Sablan is rather... Unique." WHAT!!! As Misato started laughing Shinji and Asuka was having trouble figuring out why I was red and Misato blue. Probably from the lack of air. Man, this woman's troublesome. We got to the parking lot and I stared down the same blue car I destroyed earlier on today.

Misato: "Hmm, maybe we won't fit."

Asuka: "You think of this only now!" Hahahahahahha! Okay, time to freak them out.

Aikani: "You shouldn't worry about me." I once again concentrated my energy towards my feet.

Asuka: "MY GOD!!! He... he's flying!"

Shinji: "Wow!"

Rei: "..." It's just not possible to get a reaction from that girl. Shit, Misato starting to reach for her gun. Perhaps too freaked out.

Aikani: "Hey! Remember how I told you I was a martial artist? Well, the style of martial arts I learned is a cool fighting style that also teaches its students how to fly using energy found in all life forms, it's really helpful. Heheheh." They're not buying it. "It only has two students, including me."

Shinji: "What's it called?"

Aikani: "It's the..."

Rei: "Kami Ryuu."

Asuka: "Never heard of it. What a stupid name. They think they're some kind of god or something? Just cause they can fly doesn't have to make them so arrogant." Looks like putting things in logical order is a skill for her.

Aikani: "Yeah, there's a... legend that says...that the supreme master... once became powerful enough to challenge god."

Misato: "Really?!" Huh? First she's ready to kill me, now she looks like a kid hanging on my every word.

Aikani: "Yeah and to prove myself, I'll race you." That should do it.

Misato: "What? A race! Okay, then you're on. Once we reach the surface, first one to reach the apartment wins. Got it?"

Aikani: "But I don't know where it is."

Misato: "Don't worry you can just follow my dust." Pretty arrogant. Why do Shinji and Asuka look like they're about to die?

Misato: "Ready, steady, go!!!" How did she get in her car so fast? Where did those three go? Oh fuck! I lift off and sped towards her. You ain't beating me. She reached the car elevator first and I shortly got into the tunnel for the train. Thirty seconds... open. I quickly found her six seconds after I got off. Man, she can drive fast. Left, right, left, left, right, left, right, right, left, right, right, left. She's trying to throw me off.

Aikani: "That's not gonna work on me!" It took her another four seconds of high speed turning till we came to the final stretch with her apartment at the finish line. This is it, time to see if I can do more Dragonball moves. "Kayo-ken times TEN!!!" A burst of energy quickly spread through my body. Oh shit. Whoa, I'm gonna win. I looked back to see Misato's face as she looked completely shocked. She kept mouthing something that looked like. Toorreeee. Tree? I turned. Damnit, thought I won. -CRASH- The world was dark once again.

Misato: "He's over here." Misato? I quickly got the debris, remaining pieces of the tree, off of me.

Aikani: "What's up?" Ugh my head.

Shinji: "You're not hurt! You don't have a scratch on you!"

Aikani: "Wouldn't think so, high speed crash like that wouldn't beat me." Rei came around and put her hand on my head.

Rei: "You shouldn't joke around about things like that." Rei, is that concern in her eyes? Why is she acting like this? What's going on?

Asuka: "Wondergirl! I didn't know you had a thing for this guy's twin." She's the only one who would joke around at a time like this, why me?

Aikani: "If you excuse me I need some sleep." Seriously, my fucking head.

Misato: "Wait, I don't think you shoul..." Too late. Darkness again, and that same light. How come every time I met her my head hurts?

Figure of light: "Well, if you're implying that it's my fault then I."

Aikani: "I'm not. It's just that... wait, you can read minds?"

Figure of light: "Just a little talent." I rolled my eyes.

Aikani: "This is really screwed up."

Figure of light: "I know. Your appearance caused a time rift that altered the world a tiny bit."

Aikani: "No, I really don't care. It's just that, when can I go home?"

Figure of light: "When you're done with your mission, son." Son?! "Opps."

Aikani: "Wait, that voice, I've heard it before. You're..."

Yui Ikari: "Guess I can't hide it anymore." The light began to calm down before the figure before me was one I didn't quite get to see in the anime. "I'm really Yui Ikari." Surprise wasn't quite the word I could use for my reaction.

Aikani: "Shouldn't you be in Unit-01?!"

Yui: "I'm meeting you telepathically."  She once again embraces me. "Do you know why you're here?"

Aikani: "Because I look like Shinji?"

Yui: "No, because you are Shinji." What?! "Yes, that's right. More technically you're his alter ego from another universe. Another form."

Aikani: "Why...why me? Why not someone else?"

Yui: "Because you are special. You're not just another being who looks like Shinji. You have the exact same heart as Shinji does. You two are more identical then just appearance and DNA." But it's still not fair.

Aikani: "That isn't good enough." Tears slowly dropped down my face as I couldn't handle the pressure and bent up 14-year old feelings of neglect. She hugs my even harder.

Yui: "I'm sorry that I had to place this burden on you." I bury my face into her chest.

Aikani: "It's not that it's just I've always hoped for something like this to happen to me but now that it has I'm really wondering if this is another way God's being fucked up to me."

Yui: "Then you'll have to find that out for yourself." I wipe off the tears with my available arm.

Aikani: "Fine, fine. I'll help him. I'll help them. If that what it takes for me to get home then I'll do anything."

Yui: "You're really a good boy, just like your brother." Brother? "You guys are really alike you know."

Aikani: "Guess so. Thanks for telling me the truth Miss Ikari."

Yui: "Hey you can call me mom." Mom, in my head calling this stranger mom felt more right then calling out to the woman who raised me. "It almost time to go."

Aikani: "I've noticed how good this felt." I hugged her tighter.

Yui: "Weren't you ever embraced by your mother."

Aikani: "I don't want to answer that." Mother.

Yui: "I see, unfortunately you really can't hide things in your mind from me."

Aikani: "Wish I had that power." She suddenly let go.

Yui: "Well our time together was fun." The warmth vanished from me. "I'll see you again real soon." Wait a minute. Does she mean... "And take care of your brother."

Aikani: "Yeah, see ya later... mom." Great, now I have another mother.

Shinji: "Hey he's coming to." Light... and... breast.

Misato: "Are you alright?" Jesus, she needs to put on some more cloths. Now I see what Shinji means. "You fainted and we were worried, weren't we?" Everyone nodded.

Aikani: "I'm okay, just needed some sleep. Been depraved from the stuff already. But..." Foot in position 1. "I'm..." Arm in position 2. "OKAY NOW!" Saiyaman's voice. Damn, Gohan was out of his head when he made the Great Saiyaman but it's still awesome. Apparently only I thought so. As everyone in the room quietly stared. This is gonna be a long ass mission.

Last Chapter: As Aikani came to realize that he was indeed in the NGE world, he came to the conclusion that he must get back to his own world by any means necessary. That also included not informing his new associates about his true origins. However that would prove more difficult then he originally thought as he found out that the only way to get back home is to help the Eva pilots and NERV to win in the war against the Angels. He also discovered that his sudden appearance had altered the world's timeline. What will happen next, now with the new shift in the world's timeline?

Shinji (POV)

Oh my god. Mr. Sablan can really eat. I had planned for a more vegetarian meal with Rei here. But it wasn't even enough for him alone. I just kept staring as the person everyone identified as my 'twin', just ate through several more dishes I had just prepared. And he was still eating. I think I'm going to be sick.

Aikani: "Yo Shinji, could you fix up a bit more food I think I'm almost done." I just nodded my agreement and went into the kitchen to prepare more food.

Shinji: "What kind of stomach does he have any way." Asuka soon entered the kitchen following me.

Asuka: "Man, that guy isn't human. I thought all the wacky powers were weird but this, this is just insane!" Although I would whole-heartedly agree with her, Mr. Sablan's sudden appearance had put me through my paces as a cook. And it was always good to test my skills.

Shinji: "Well, Dr. Akagi did say he would only be staying with us till he found a place for himself."

Asuka: "And how long do you think that'll take? Huh? Oh great another boy under the same roof as me. How degrading." Hmph, you say one thing but the look on your face says something completely different. I haven't seen you this excited since Kaji's last visit. "What's a matter Shinji? What's with the look? You're not jealous are you?" She leaned in and placed a predatory grin on her face.

Shinji: "Jealous?! No way." I don't get jealous. It's not like me, but am I? The sound of another cheer from the living room told me that Mr. Sablan was done with another plate.

Aikani: "Hey Shinji! Why don't we switch off and I cook while you take a break. Kay?!" That was very considerate of him since I'm only cooking extra food for our guests or should I say guest.

Shinji: "No, it's fine Mr. Sablan." Why is Asuka still around here?

Aikani: "Shinji. By all means could you stop calling me that! Makes me feel old." He then went back to eati... devouring his meal.

Asuka: "Still can't believe he ate Misato's so-called cooking earlier on. Even I would die of food poisoning."

Shinji: "Yeah, but he ate every last bite of it and even wanted seconds." I couldn't help but laugh as I remembered the look on Misato's face as this was the first time, which I know of, anyone complimenting her on her instant food. Once I had calmed down, I noticed that Asuka was laughing just as hard. Even though she's a little bit annoying most of the time, she does have a nice side.

Asuka: "Hey idiot, what are you looking at?" I turned back to my cooking so she couldn't see the blush that was on my face. If she did she wouldn't let me hear the end of it. Once I was done we retuned to see Aikani, idly chatting with Misato about the previous Angel battles.

Misato: "Then we had to let his little school friends into the entry plug. It was a hard battle and it went even harder with the additional noise in the nerve impluse system." I just stood there with my mouth open as I couldn't believe what she was telling him. Isn't stuff like this, top-secret information'?

Aikani: "So, the Evas optimize on some sort of neural uplinks from the pilot. In more logical terms, the pilots use their minds to control the Eva. Is that right?" To say I was surprise was an understatement as he quickly understood something that even I had a problem with. But then again even Kensuke practically knows more about our functions then most of NERV. I set the food down and took a seat next to Misato. I stared on at my guardian as she didn't really keep such top secret information a real secret to the newcomer.

Misato: "I'm impressed to say the least. How did you come up with a quick analysis with little information?" He gave her a quick smirk.

Aikani: "Hey, your talking to a tactical genius. Such a thing would be in my natural ability to comprehend." Wow, is he really that smart? I wonder if he went to collage at an early age like Asuka. "But then again, I'm one lazy bastard. Hahaha. It actually evens me out so I don't have a super high ego. Unlike some geniuses." Uhhh... I turned to see Asuka and an unnatural flame around her. Where did that come from? Oh no.

Asuka: "Well for your information I happened to have graduated from collage already from an early age. So I do hope that I don't fall under your basic categories of intellectual beings." Aikani didn't seem surprise at this information at all expect raised an eyebrow.

Aikani: "So, a child genius. Should've expected it considering that kind of attitude." Oh crap.

Asuka: "What the hell is that suppose to mean?!" She raised a steady fist at Aikani's. Aikani then raised a finger to Asuka's fist and gently stopped her from punching him in his face.

Aikani: "Asuka, I didn't mean to offend you but all I was trying to do was prove a point in that you don't look cute when you're mad." He smiled widely and pointed to me. Asuka's gaze then turned to me. Wait, why me? "Shinji was trying to tell me that you look cute when you're angry and I had disagreed with him but now I can see why he thinks you're cute." Huh...

Shinji: "WHAT?!!! I didn't say anything like that!" I turned to see Misato clutching her sides as Asuka grew a shade of red, practically the same as her hair color. Surely out of anger or maybe...

Aikani: "Chill man, was just messing with ya. Misato, guess you owe me 5,000 yen." Misato turned around and look slightly discomforted then sighed.

Misato: "Sorry about that you two. Just was a why to kill time, that's all. No hard feelings, right Shinji? Asuka? Umm... Asuka?" Asuka was now in the corner kneeling while muttering something under her breath. I could only make out a little bit but it was the same thing over and over again.

Asuka: "...I'll kill him. I'll kill him. I'll kill him. I'll kill him..." Okay, didn't think Asuka would go overboard like that. Declaring that he was finally finished, Aikani then proceeded to Rei and engage her into a conversation. What surprised me was that she actually started talking. Although not as much as Aikani but enough to keep the conversation going. "That's a first." The sudden voice next to me made me jump and look in its direction. Asuka was right beside me and look as normal as ever.

Shinji: "Why aren't you angry anymore?" She started one of her death glares and continued to stare at Aikani.

Asuka: "Oh I'm still angry but revenge is sweet on an unexpected victim." What's with her today? She's sorta out of character. I mean I normally don't pay as much attention to her as some of my other male classmates at school, but even I can see she's not acting 'normal'. After her declaration of revenge she went off and was whispering something to Misato leaving me to... to... myself? Looking around the room I suddenly found myself very lonely. Rei was actually talking to Aikani, and Asuka and Misato was whispering between each other.

Aikani: "Alright!" What now? "Movie time! You guys got anything good? Cause if you don't mind I got something that'll kick your sorry asses to the seventh level of hell. Metaphor-idly speaking that is." It's that grin of his again. Ugh, he's up to something. During the short time I've got to know Aikani he's quite a... a devious motherfucker, in his words.

Shinji: "What kind of movie is it?"

Aikani: "A World War 2 one." World War 2? That sounds familiar but where have I heard about that.

Misato: "Ahh, a WW2 movie sounds good. So what is it?" Misato seems to know, wonder if this war was that big of a deal.

Aikani: "Just Saving Private Ryan. Heard that you guys don't get that many American movies anymore. Hehe, guess this will be your first time watching it? Right?" Hope this movie is good otherwise I'm just gonna listen to my SDAT. The lights went off and Aikani stepped in front of the TV while the movie was still on the menu screen. "Hello, my name is Aikani Sablan and I'll be your usher for this evening movie. Please follow the theater rules and dispose of your trash in the proper trash bins. The emergency exits are to your left and only left unless you decide that the balcony is good and that's only possible if you can fly like me, which you probably can't. Anyways, if you have any problems with the volume, picture, temperature, or anything else please feel free to bug Misato since it's her place. Thank you and hope you enjoy your movie."...

Is he joking? -giggle- What's that sound? I turn my head to see Rei actually giggling and was as dumbfounded as both Asuka and Misato. Better put her on the list of people out of character today.

Asuka: "Hell must have frozen over."

Shinji: "Yeah."

Aikani: "Man, you people are weird. At least Rei likes my little jokes." Us? Weird? The movie started playing. This is going to be one long night. Oh wait, it already is. Afterwards Misato had Rei stay over and sleep in Asuka's room while Aikani in mine. Before I knew it Aikani was already on the futon next to my bed asleep. Guess I'll do the same.

Morning. What a weird dream. Waking up is sometimes a troublesome situation. My first night with Asuka here ended up with her in my room while I spent the rest of the night on the ground. We both got past that with her saying she has a slight sleep walking problem. It's been a month since then and I wake up to find a slightly different situation.

Aikani: "Bro..." Guess he talks in his sleep too. But at least Asuka never kicked in her sleep. Aikani was currently right next to me in my own bed and looked like he own the thing. Does he sleepwalk too? One of his legs was jammed in my gut while his arm was off the bed and dangling from the side. I gently moved his foot away and got up. I left the room and went to the kitchen for a quick glass of water. Oh great, another surprise. There at the table we ate at last night was a bunch of odd food I haven't seen before. And what's more there was a note right next to it.

Thought you wouldn't mind the food since you guys cooked for me and Rei last night. You know the saying, returning the favor, right? Made it around 8 so hope it's not cold by the time you guys eat. I might still be asleep when you see this so just wake me up, k? Also, its western food and some of my local stuff hope you don't mind.

Another voice surprised me since I hadn't noticed anyone around.

Asuka: "That was sure nice of him." Oh my god! When'd she sneak up behind me? Why would she sneak behind me?

Shinji: "When did you get there?"

Asuka: "Surprised Third?" She just smiled at me.

Shinji: "Well you did just sneak up behind me." I wanted to put out how annoyed I was because of that.

Asuka: "What, you don't enjoy my fine company?" She actually looked hurt. Nah, this is Asuka I'm thinking about.

Shinji: "Asuka, that's not what I meant. I mean"

Asuka: "No, I get what you're saying you just don't like it when I'm around, don't you?!" She turned around and was about to walk away. By instinct I grabbed her hand and didn't let her leave. I felt her tensed up and then relaxed. She slowly turned her head and our eyes met. Her eyes seemed relieved for some reason. Those soft blue eyes.

Shinji: "Asuka."

Asuka: "Shinji." What am I feeling all of a sudden? I feel at ease. I mean Asuka in Touji's words is the 'Devil'. So why does she looked so relieved? I then heard snickering coming from the hallway, and then full blown-out laughter.

Aikani: "Hey! When's the wedding you two? Hahahahahaha!" Beside him was Misato who was equally laughing and Rei who surprisingly had a smile on her face.

Misato: "You two seem to be getting along real well." Both Asuka and I looked down at our hands and quickly let go. I looked at Misato with anger from both her comment and the interruption. Asuka must have been thinking along the same lines since we both shouted at Misato.

Asuka: "What's that?!"

Shinji: "What do you mean by that?!" Misato seemed to have gotten control herself as she started on breakfast.

Misato: "I'll be sure to remember that to be apart in your new training." Training? ...

Shinji&Asuka: "Say what!" She immediately brought down the beer she was drinking so she could get our undivided attention.

Misato: "There is only one way to destroy the Seventh Angel! Execute a simultaneous two-point attack on each target's core while the angel is separated.

Shinji&Asuka: "Ahhh..."

Aikani: "In other words, an attack on both halves by two Evas with perfect synchronized timing. Coordination between the two of you will be vital to the success of this mission."

Asuka: "Wait, why do you know about this?" I was thinking the exact same thing. Misato decided to speak for him.

Misato: "Because, he's the one who came up with the plan and he's also a tactical genius." Asuka didn't look like she had any objections. If Misato trusts him then I guess we can too.

Shinji&Asuka: "Ahhh..."

Misato: "To that end, I want the two of you to live together from now on." But don't we already live together?

Shinji&Asuka: "Huh?"

Aikani: "As in sleep in the same room." He looked at us with a grin on his face.

Shinji&Asuka: "Ahhh!!!"

Asuka: "No way! A boy and a girl should never sleep under one roof after the age of seven! Or unless their married!" Misato took on an Aikani-grin.

Misato: "So, are you saying that you two want to get married?" The blush on Asuka's face intensified, making her look like a ripe tomato. Probably as red as me. Aikani meanwhile was eating everything he could get his hands on with Rei sitting next to him.

Asuka: "Why in the hell would I ever want to marry him?!" Misato then looked seriously at her, she only did this when she was in the command center and was ordering us in battle.

Misato: "The angel is currently regenerating itself. It will begin its second assault in six days." Six days? But that's impossible.

Asuka: "But it's impossible." Okay, that's really starting to scare me.

Aikani: "Esh haf ah wazs tof mabe itsh boshible."

Rei: "Aikani please swallow you food before you speak." Did Rei just call Aikani by his given name? And did Rei just give Aikani an order? Aikani with food in his mouth looked at Rei and nodded his head.

Aikani: "Phew, that's better. Thanks Rei. As I was saying, we have a way of making it possible. The master attack pattern will be choreographed using this music. If you follow it exactly, you'll be able to work in synch and completely destroy both targets. Misato."

Misato: "Right, we begin now, we attack in six days."

Three days later

We've been using the music Aikani gave us and a dance pad to try and allow us to move in synch, which isn't going so well. We've also moved into the same room which was just our own rooms except without the shouji wall. Misato also got us to wear matching outfits, which was embarrassing in itself. We didn't even go to school just so we can get more 'training' before the battle.

Well training is an understatement it's more like Aikani's house of torture. He unexpectedly declared Rei, Asuka and I his students in his Kami Ryuu. I came to the conclusion that to study this style you must truly be inhuman. The power, speed, agility, and emotional strength capable of mastering this thing are clearly not human enough to be able to do such thing. Like delivering milk. Who delivers milk now in days? Oh god I don't want to even remember.

Aikani had started to settle down into the apartment next to us and the weird thing is that Rei was constantly over there. This was really odd seeing Rei visit one person, a person who was a stranger less then four days ago, so many times. He had also grown accustomed to calling me his younger brother since everyone we had seen started calling us twins. At first it was annoying but it kinda felt nice seeing someone care enough to recognize them as family. I had then started calling him my older brother since his birthday was a couple of months before mine. Then there was Asuka. For some unexplainable reason she was acting a lot nicer to me now. Although there was the occasional beat Ikari till he regrets being a 'pervert' attitude but she was still nice. And it all started with the appearance of Aikani, or big brother Aikani. The doorbell rang bringing me out of my thoughts and getting my attention or our attention.

Shinji&Asuka: "Coming!"

We both open the door to see my friends Touji and Kensuke and the class rep. I mean Hikari. They all had their mouths open and were looking at us like we had grown another head.

Touji: "You've betrayed us!" Betrayed? Ohh.

Kensuke: "You're dressing alike again too. I can't believe this." So that why they freaked out.

Shinji&Asuka: "Neither can we, it's all Misato and Aikani's fault. We have to eat, breathe and sleep together." Hope they won't get the wrong idea now.

Hikari: "You're living in sin! That's awful!" She looks like she's about to cry. Oh shit, they still don't get it.

Shinji&Asuka: "No, it's not like that."

Hikari: "And just what is it like?!" Misato came out of Aikani's apartment followed by brother and Rei, holding hands!

Misato: "Hi everybody!" Touji, Kensuke, and Hikari looked like they were about to lose it. Touji took a deep breathe and let it out before he looked relatively calm.

Touji: "Umm... Would you like to explain all this to us?"

A few minutes later

Both Asuka and I were back on the dance pad and were moving in perfect synch, for the moment. While Misato was explaining the plan on how to defeat the angel to everybody. Then the laughter erupted. I saw Asuka twitch in the corner of my eye.

Touji: "Gee Shinji, you should have told us about that part first." That guy... Focus.

Hikari: "So how are their coordination drills coming along Ms. Misato?"

Misato: "Very well, as you can see."

Touji: "Well at least they're putting on a good show. Hahahaha." Him and his big mouth. Oh crap. My foot. -beep-

Asuka: "UHH!!! Can you shut up! Look at what you just did! This isn't as easy it looks, you stooge! I wanna see you try this!" Is she sticking up for me?

Misato: "Now, now Asuka. You shouldn't be so rude to the people who were obviously worried about you."

Asuka: "Don't try to defend him! And you got no say in this since you didn't even come up with the plan." Time to intervene.

Shinji: "Asuka."

Asuka: "Be quiet Shinji. Well ain't got anything to say Misato? Guess not since if it weren't for me you couldn't even be able to do this." I turned to see Misato with her head down signaling her defeat. I wonder what brother thinks about this. Seeing him in the back I found him sitting next to Rei with his arms around her. The look on his face was unlike anything I've seen before since I'd got to know him. The look told me he was serious about whatever he was thinking about. It was to the line pure terrifying. He got up.

Aikani: "Rei. Would you be a dear?" She also got up and started walking towards us. Brother came to my side and pushed me off gently while Rei moved Asuka to the side and stepped on the pad. They started from the beginning and were moving in perfect synch. But what was odd was the fact that throughout the whole thing they had their eyes close.

Misato: "Asuka, I may not have been the one who came up with this plan but I was the one who proposed it to the commander. Now we can continue training or... would you like me to set it up for Rei and Aikani. I'm sure that not only does he look like Shinji but that he would be able to perform in an Eva just as great as Shinji did his first time." Asuka. She looks hurt and confused.

Asuka: "What?! Huh? No... No. No! I can't stand this! I can't take it anymore!" She threw the headphones to the ground and ran out of the room. I could hear the apartment door slamming a few seconds later.

Hikari: "Wait, Asuka!"

Touji: "So even the devil can cry." I just stood there unsure if I should go after her or not. Then Hikari made the choice for me.

Hikari: "Shinji!"

Shinji: "I know." I ran out as fast as I could and thanked good I had sandals. As I went out the door I could hear Hikari screaming, probably at bro.

Hikari: "And you! You made her cry you jerk!" Brother's screams could be heard down the hallway as I ran towards the elevator.

Shinji: "Sigh. I fell badly for you brother. Truly I do." Brother's only weakness is women. A glimpse of red caught my eye entering the convenience store across from the apartment building near the park. The same one which is in good business since Misato goes there for her beer needs. I went in and found her in the back where the drinks were. She was squatting down and staring at the drinks. She must've been thinking about what happened back there.

Shinji: "Asuka."

Asuka: "Don't say anything. I know she was just teasing." It was a good thing she finally calmed down enough to realize a simple thing like that. "Let's go."

Shinji: "Right." We bought a few snacks and headed back. But before we even stepped on the main road she grabbed my arm and led me to the park. I didn't really want to piss her off right now in case of a backlash so I stayed quiet. When we got to a bench we sat down and she started tearing through a sandwich. She really did change back there. Before she was brooding and now she looks really determined.

Asuka: "No matter what, I'll put Rei, Misato, and that stupid brother of yours to shame!" Okay it is their fault for making Asuka upset but...

Shinji: "But still you don't have to squash them."

Asuka: "You're being too simplistic even if you are a male! We must avenge ourselves. Our pride... It's a matter of honor now, can't you understand that?" Letting out a sigh I looked at her with the setting sun in the background. She's really cute talking like that with food in her mouth.

Shinji: "Yeah." When we got back brother, Misato and Touji apologized to Asuka and Asuka, surprisingly, apologized also. To Misato, not brother or Touji. Although brother looked okay with it Touji didn't. He left shouting something about how devils should be kept locked up. It was a good thing he didn't come back.

Three more days later (including that day)

The synch training was going better then anyone could expect even brother. By now we could finish each other's sentences, eat at the same rate, brush our teeth the same way, and even act the same way. But I think the acting was probably due to brother's training. He seemed to be taking our training lightly since we would do the same errands for him but with more weights. Running around Tokyo-3 is a real hassle with two hundred-sixty pounds on your body. He has yet to teach us how to fly. Tonight's the last night of our training till 'D-Day' tomorrow. Brother suggested this saying it was sounded cool and he really liked it. Sometimes I wonder if he really is a genius like he says. While I'm going over these thoughts Asuka was yelling something. Negative effects for having headphones.

Asuka: "Where's Misato?" Oh that.

Shinji: "At work, she called earlier. She'll be there all night."

Asuka: "So that means were all alone tonight. Huh?" -Gulp- That's the same tone of voice bro had when I found out he was a pervert. She came into the room, grabbed her futon and went into her side of the room. "This is the impenetrable 'Wall of Jericho', Third child." She was holding the sliding wall that normally separates our two rooms out for the example. But all those things brother told me about girls came flooding back at me as I continued to ogle Asuka's nearly exposed breast. It took me awhile to get a hold of myself and look at her in the face.

Shinji: "Huh? What?"

Asuka: "Take one step over this wall and you'll be a dead man." Oh-no. That's the same glint in her eyes when brother's in his pervert mode. "Unless you ask for an invitation that is." I shook my head to indicate I was perfectly fine on my side. She looked a bit disappointed. "And now it's to go to bed, children!" The light on her side went off leaving me to think about things. "Why do I have to sleep on the floor? Shinji's bed is so stupid." Guess I'll think in the morning.

Sleep didn't come so easily to me as the minutes rolled by, then hours. Maybe I'm nervous. The wall between my room and Asuka's opened up and I tried to act as if I was sleeping so she would be able to go back to sleep. When I finally heard the toilet flushed I just waited for the wall to slide back. -thud- It never did. I opened my eyes to see Asuka right beside me on my futon. Damn, she's sleepwalking again. When I looked down what I saw almost made blood come out of my nose. Her breasts were practically coming out of her shirt. Agh! That stupid perverted brother of mine! No. I'll just sleep on the other side just like last time. Yeah, that'll work. Before I could even sit up Asuka had her arms around me and started crying.

Asuka: "Ma... ma... mama..." What should I do? The last time this happened she nearly killed me. But I can't just abandon her. I looked at her sleeping form before allowing her to cuddle up next to me. You know, once you get over this being an embarrassing situation this is quite nice. She finally seemed to calm down as I allowed her a space near on my shoulder. Sleep became a lot easier as I gazed at her face.

Shinji: "Sweet dreams, Asuka."

The next day. I awoke to find Asuka already up and getting ready for the morning.

Shinji: "Asuka." Hope she isn't mad. She turned around and what startled me was that bright smile on her face.

Asuka: "Good morning Shinji. Have a nice sleep?" Wait, shouldn't she be mad or at least angry with me for touching her or being near her in her sleep?

Shinji: "Asuka, you're not mad?" I looked down expecting the mood change to take over.

Asuka: "Why should I be, idiot? You didn't do anything wrong or did you?" Her smile turned into the cutest thing I've had ever seen before. "Why are you still in bed?! Get up already. Sheesh, I go through all the trouble getting breakfast made so you wouldn't have to and you're here being lazy. That brother of yours bad habits is rubbing off on you. You know I worry about you Shinji." Okay, this is new. She's lecturing me because she's worried about me? Did someone replace her with an angel or what?

Shinji: "Umm... Asuka."

Asuka: "Get up already!"

Shinji: "Yes ma'am!" Better not piss her off. I got ready unusually fast and went out followed by Asuka.

Misato, Aikani&Rei: "Good luck!" Everyone was already in the kitchen eating. They were all there with smiling faces. Misato, already on her second can, brother and Rei already started on breakfast, which was on the table in the living room and not in the kitchen, where we walked in. While something was tugging at my mind. I looked back to see Asuka who unconsciously was holding my hand. I smiled at her and looked back at the group.

Shinji&Asuka: "Thanks everybody!" We had a great breakfast. The trip to NERV was really uneventful with brother sitting on top of the roof of the car. By the time we got there the alarms were already sounding off. It wasn't long till we were sitting in our Evas awaiting orders. My screen came on and brother's face was there.

Aikani: "Yo little bro! You all set?" I nodded to him and sat there remembering the choreography along with the battle plan. This'll be easy.

Gendo: "Captain. Who is this boy and why is he here on the command bridge?" I saw Misato trying to give a response but was cut off by brother.

Aikani: "Who am I you ask? Hehe, I shall gladly answer!" Oh-no. That voice again. The same one he used the first night to tell us he was alright after the race incident. I turned off the comm. link and sat there waiting till he was done. Misato came back on and brother was lying on the ground with a bump on his head while Rei was tending to him.

Misato: "Right then, no more distractions. Spread your AT fields as soon as the music starts. Then follow the operation choreography. Are you two ready?"

Shinji&Asuka: "Roger." Now's the moment of truth.

Aoba: "The target has entered the mountains." That's real close now.

Asuka: "Just remember the moves Shinji, full power, maximum performance."

Shinji: "I know. We'll be finish in sixty-two seconds." We will.

Aoba: "It's coming. Target entering Ground Zero." Now's the time to prove to them what I can do. I won't run away.

Misato: "Detach external power." I'll never run away! "Eva launch!" 1 minute and 10 seconds. A smile came to my face the exact moment she said that. (Aikani: "Why must I run away when my enemy is in front of me?") Brother. The music came into play and we immediately spread out our AT fields. 55 seconds. After being shot into the air we threw our progressive spears towards the angel to separate it. 44 seconds. Our Evas took the few seconds to properly position the enemies for reformation. While Asuka handled her angel, I dealt with mine with volleys of steady rifle burst. 38 seconds. The angels then counterattacked but we were leading it to a protective shielding installation. 32 seconds. The shielding came up just in time and we instantly fired on the angels. They dodged and came for us. We ducked out of the way before the shield was cut in half. 26 seconds. More of the cities weapons systems came up hitting the angels with everything Tokyo-3 had. 18 seconds. Then we saw the opening and went for it. 15 seconds. Dashing forwards, we delivered an uppercut sending it in the air. But before it could get any higher we sent it back with a high kick. 10 seconds. This forced it to reform back into its original form. We jumped back and got ready to deliver the final blow. 6 seconds. The kick was dead center. It finally started to crack as the impact of the kick sent us angel flying forwards. 0 seconds. No power.

Shinji: "Agh, my head. Did we do it?" I opened my entry plug to check the damage. Man, she's gonna kill me. -ring, ring- Why do we have phones on our Evas in the first place. "Hello?"

Asuka: "Shinji! What are you doing on my Unit 02?!" What the?!

Shinji: "What are you talking about? I didn't do anything wrong."

Asuka: "You're the one who lost time first! Idiot! You're always so slow! And why were you in my bed this morning?!"

Shinji: "Your bed? It was my bed you were in! And also you're the one who said I didn't do anything wrong!" Her face turned red instantly.

Asuka: "I...umm... you're a pervert!" What?! -ring, ring- Another call?

Shinji&Asuka: "Huh?" Who's this?

Aikani: "From the position you two were in this morning I would say you're both perverts. Hahahaha." BROTHER!!!

Shinji&Asuka: "I'm gonna kill you!" What a day.

Chapter 4-Flashbacks, Pained Backs and Illegitimate Facts

 

Last Chapter: The battle against the Seventh was a tiring experience for both Shinji and Asuka. However with the introduction of Aikani to NERV things went a lot smoother then most would expect, at least for everyone else but Shinji and Asuka. With each passing day the lives of the children continued to get more... interesting.

Aikani (POV)

Mwahaha... MWAHAHAHAHAHA. Finally, my diabolical plan is in motion. Soon I will have the ultimate prize in the whole entire galaxy. Mwahahahaha. In a few seconds I will soon ha-

Asuka: "AIKANI! YOU PERVERT!" Ah shit. Rei's skirt was only a mere centimeter from my face until Asuka's foot replaced it. I quickly jumped out of the way.

Shinji: "I told you not to do anything like that in front of Asuka."

Aikani: "I'll keep that in mind, bro." I then moved right behind hee and put my palm right next to her neck. This vantage point allowed me to disable her without a moment hesitation and she knew it. "Never let your guard down, student."

It had only been a few weeks after my 'teleportation' to this dimension and already enough of the world's timeline was fucked. However, I do hope that most of the changes will be for the good. Yui... I mean, mother has already been mentally training me in the art of the Kame-sennin Ryuu. 'How does she know it?' You ask. I have no freakin clue. But I'm supposed to teach it to my brother. Plus Rei and Asuka if they want to. The training has been going well but we seem to get distracted too easily. Example, the shit that just happened right now. As for-

Rei: "Aikani, dear. You're zoning out again." Oh yeah.

Aikani: "Sorry Rei. I guess some of my bad habits are a bit too distracting for my own good."

Rei: "Just don't do it while we're in the middle of our training, sensei." Oh man, I love this girl!

Aikani: "Right! Back to work everyone! Break is over!" That got a few groins out of Shinji and Asuka.

Asuka: "Sensei? More like the Wonder-Idiot posing as a real teacher."

Shinji: "Now Asuka, you know my brother is doing this out of the goodness of his heart." She just kept that annoyed look on her face.

Asuka: "Yeah, a black heart from hell." Oh... that deserves punishment.

Aikani: "Okay kiddies! Time to get tied to the trees. Heheheheheh." They knew this part was coming, as always. I sometimes let them have a break from this part of training but since Asuka is feeling lively today they can all share that energy and put it to use in their exercise.

Asuka: "I'm reporting you in to the local authorities you bastard! This is cruel and unusual punishment!" I merely laughed at Asuka's side comment.

Aikani: "This isn't a playground! This is training!" I was kinda shock with my sudden outburst. They all stood there quietly, letting the information sink in. I guess its time. "So... have fun!" I smacked the wasps' nests and ran away. Even from behind the rock, which I used as cover, I could hear their frustrated screams.

Asuka: "AIKANI SABLAN!!! I'LL KILL YOU!!!" Ahhh... she usually says that with more venom. Must be getting use to the training.

Aikani: "Now where was I? Oh yeah, reminiscing." As I was saying, a lot of strange things started happening. Like the relationship between bro and Asuka. Well, I couldn't really say that it was unexpected but the time needed for it to grow to a more then 'friends' kind was surprising to say the least. Now I know how you all want to know how I got with Rei so I'll tell ya! It all happened on the second day of Shinji and Asuka's synch training. I had just moved in to the apartment next to them and was getting Rei to help me clean the place up. To say that she didn't have a clue what she was doing would be rude but very true.

(Rei doesn't seem to know how to broom properly. At the moment I had thought those words it seemed like Rei was getting revenge as she just kicked up more dust and dirt then actually sweeping.

Aikani: "-cough, cough- Ugh, hold on Rei. This is the proper way to broom." I immediately stood behind her and grabbed the broom. I had to get all this crap out of the way, at any means. We continued sweeping the dust till it was all out of the apartment. Once it was done, I was about to let go when someone voiced their thoughts.

Rei: "Thank you for teaching me how to sweep."

Aikani: "No problem Re-"

Rei: "But I must inquire what that thing is... bumping my backside." Thing? I looked down to notice my crotch practically in attack position. I let go of the broom and backed into the wall while holding my package.

Aikani: "AH! Umm... I'm... really, really sorry about that, Rei!" She slowly turned around and just stared at me. Oh no! Now she'll hate me, or hit me, or kill me! Man, I'm seriously in trouble now. I just violated her!

Rei: "Are you attracted to me?" Wait, what?

Aikani: "What?"

Rei: "An erection is the sign of physical attracted-ness towards a potential mate, in the case of typical human males." Typical?

Aikani: "Look Rei, I didn't really mean to 'get' an erection. It just happened." That should settle things. Rei took time into letting the information process.

Rei: "So... I am not attractive?" EH?!

Aikani: "Rei! That's not what I meant! I'm very attracted to you!" I shouldn't have said that. Ohhh. Me and my big mouth. She simply walked towards me and looked me straight in the eyes.

Rei: "I'm... glad. I am attracted to you too." Well that's goo- What did she say?! We just stood there. Our brains trying to think up of something to say. "Should we mate?" You know, I should be the happiest person on this freakin' planet right now. But I wouldn't want to take advantage of Rei.

Aikani: "No Rei, we shouldn't mate. In fact you should go next door and ask that sort of advice from Misato." She just nodded her answer. Thank god, she understands perfectly. I hope.

Rei: "I will question the Captain on the subject and come back tomorrow."

Aikani: "That's fine Rei. I'll walk you to the door." The tension that had build up just because of a little dry hump was killing me. "See you tomorrow Rei and thanks for helping me out."

Rei: "It was an interesting experience. Good night, Sa-" I held a finger on her lips to stop her from saying the next part.

Aikani: "Rei, its Aikani." I removed my finger and simply grinned at her. 

Rei: "Good night, Aikani." That's better. 

Aikani: "Good night, Rei." After the door closed, I slumped to the ground as my worries went away, for the moment at least. I then got up and went to get a nice glass of milk. "Jeez, this world is weird." I looked at the clock and it said 6:02 pm. "That was fast. Guess its time I'll go to bed a bit early tonight."

The next day

With my apartment in livable conditions and a good storage of food, I set off to get make breakfast.

Aikani: "Yesterday was a pretty weird day. Man, if I wasn't so much of a gentleman then I would have taken advantage of her." ... "Ahhh! Who am I kidding?! I was ready to say 'let's mate and have great offspring together, Rei'. -sigh- In the end I'm still a no good pervert." After breakfast was eaten, I got dressed and headed for next door. Time to see if the plan is working. -ding, dong- Huh? Wonder who is that? I slowly opened the door. Shit! It's Rei! "Ah-ha... Good morning, Rei."

Rei: "Good morning, Aikani." What the? Is Rei actually smiling? Something happened... "May I come in?"

Aikani: "Of... of course!" I lead her to the living room and sat on the couch. Rei then sat right next to me. I hope nothing weird happens like yesterday.

Rei: "I talked to Capt. Katsuragi like you suggested."

Aikani: "Ack! Really?"

Rei: "Yes... and told me..." She told you... C'mon Rei say it already! "To do this." What? She leaned in and our lips touched. Oh fuck! My first kiss! Was Rei this aggressive or maybe its the timeline affect happening. As I tried to respond as best as I can, she did another unexpected thing. She opened her mouth and her tongue was touching my lips. She wants to French already! Oh well. I opened my mouth and our tongues intertwined in each others path to dominance. The fight continued for as long as we held breath, which wasn't long. Once we broke apart we were left to the sound of each other's breathing. I was the first to speak.

Aikani: "Wow." Rei scooted right next to me and took my hand with a smile.

Rei: "Thanks." Whatever it is you told her, thanks Misato. "Aikani." I turned to look her in her eyes. That face she's making... I'm pretty sure I've seen that before. But where? What a minute. That's the kind of face Asuka or Misato makes when they're thinking something devious.

Aikani: "What is it Rei." She didn't take her time as she jumped me and started the process all over again. No, this is weird. Even for Rei. "Rei, stop!" I managed to get her attention from taking off my clothes.

Rei: "Yes?" She looked at me with the cutest face I've ever seen.

Aikani: "Rei, don't you find this weird?" I needed to find out.

Rei: "What do you mean?"

Aikani: "Why are you so interested in me even though you've only known me for more than a week?" The situation was too out of character. The Rei Ayanami I grew up watching would never do this.

Rei: "Love at first sight." ...

Aikani: "Eh?"

Rei: "That is what Capt. Katsuragi told me when I tried to explain how I felt each time I saw you." That may be a bit extreme but...

Aikani: "Rei. I know you known Shinji far longer than I have. What makes me so different from the person who I look exactly like?" After I said this she looked shocked for a moment.  But that looked only last for one second as it soon dissolved into a genuine smile. The brightest I've ever seen her.

Rei: "You made me laugh. And not only that. I feel different when I look at you then when I look at Ikari. I never felt this way with Ikari or even the commander. I feel at ease when you around and my heart, it beats so fast when I see you looking at me. The captain said it was love. And I believe her analysis is correct." I was moved. Because no one in my life had ever said something so nice to me before. So filled with emotion. I let out a chuckle before I spoke.

Aikani: "You know, that's probably the longest I've ever heard you speak before." And Rei just laughed. At this time it was I who jumped her as we proceeded down our lustful path.

A few minutes later.

-ding, dong- Oh shit!

Aikani: "Rei! Put your shirt back on!"

Rei: "But I thought we were going to mate."

Aikani: "We can do that later! Just put your shirt back on!" -ding, dong- "Hold on!" Man people can get really irritating. I rushed towards the door. Making sure that Rei had everything back on. I then proceeded to take care of this troublesome person.

Misato: "Good Morning! Neighbor!" I quickly closed the door. Wait, I slammed the door.

Rei: "Who is it?"

Aikani: "Fuck, its Misato." -ding, dong- Well, I'll have to deal with her sooner or later. I reopened the door. "Why, Misato! Good morning!"

Misato: "Good morning. Neighbor." Ahhh... Now she looks like she's gonna kill me. "Rei wouldn't be here by any chance, would she?"

Rei: "Good morning Capt. Katsuragi." I turned to see Rei standing behind me, smiling.

Misato: "Did it work?" Did what work?

Rei: "Exactly like you said it would." Huh? What are they talking about?

Misato: "I knew it would. Kaji was the same way when we first met."

Rei: "Really, I wouldn't have expected that since its Mr. Kaji. From all your stories you told me I was thinking that your first kiss would be different." When did Rei get so talkative?

Misato: "Surprising, isn't it?" They both started laughing and from my angle it would have seemed like the two knew each other for a long time. I hate it when I'm in a conversation and they ignore me. Pressure can build till a certain point until it erupts.

Aikani: "What the hell are you two talking about?!" They both quieted sensing my power swell.

Misato: "For a genius, you're pretty slow when it comes to these kinds of things."

Aikani: "Well, I'm sorry if I've always lacked the normal amount of common sense." Misato just smiled and walked towards the living room.

Misato: "I just gave Rei some little advice."

Aikani: "What kind of advice?"

Misato: "Why, the 'Misato' kind, of course!")

And so there you have it. What had started as just cleaning my apartment lead to Rei becoming my girlfriend.

Aikani: "Man this world is weird." -bee, beep- -bee, beep- Looks like times up. I peeked over the rock to see that they were dodging nearly all the wasp at an incredible speed. Judging from their movements, they seem to be as strong as Goku when he fought against Tien. Okay, that's enough training for today. I started a little fire and fanned the smoke towards them. The smoke neutralized the wasps. "Good work everybody!" Asuka tore the rope to pieces.

Asuka: "YOU SON OF A BITCH!!! I'LL KILL YOU!!!" To say that Asuka was pissed was understatement. She's really, really, REALLY pissed. She flew right at me. Wait, did she just fly? I narrowly dodged a kick to my head. I then flew to a height that would guarantee my safety. That didn't seem the case when Asuka shot after me. When she leveled out with me, she had an arrogant look on her face. She then launched towards me.

Asuka: "Never let your guard down, eh? Sensei?!"

Aikani: "What?! Hold on!" She momentarily stopped and gave me a look of suspicion. "Come on. Training's over." We headed back towards the others. Once on ground, I preceded towards the spot where we normally relax. I then picked up Asuka and tossed her towards Shinji, who caught her.

Asuka: "Hey! What's the big idea, jerk!" Things are about to get fun.

Aikani: "Can all of you fly?" I'm guessing from their perspective, they think I'm angry. Which I wasn't, only slightly annoyed. My little brother stepped forward.

Shinji: "I taught them." So it was a good idea to teach him first.

(Bro and the others had just passed the strength Goku was when he was under Master Roshi for the first time. I didn't want to really teach them anything but martial arts but that prospect soon went out the window when mom asked me to teach them the Kame-sennin Ryuu. And that would require energy techniques. I would start with Shinji.

Aikani: "Bro! C'mere for a sec." I gave the sign that training was over. He jogged over and placed the weights on the ground. "How do you feel?"

Shinji: "Like someone was trying to turn me into a basketball." I laughed at his comment only because I was doing the same thing but with heavier weights.

Aikani: "Hah! Don't worry, you'll get stronger! Promise." We sat in silence for a while.

...

Shinji: "So what did you call me for?" Huh?

Aikani: "Oh yeah. Now I remember." Shinji just face faulted into the ground.

Shinji: "Jeez, brother. I knew you were lazy but I didn't know you could be empty headed sometimes."

Aikani: "So true. Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to take your training to the next level."

Shinji: "What? More weights?"

Aikani: "No, this." I destroyed a small boulder to pieces with a burst of my energy.

Shinji: "Amazing! How...? How'd you do that?!"

Aikani: "Simple, I'll teach you.")

So that means...

Aikani: "That means you can project your energy now, eh?" They all nodded their heads. I guess its time to test them. I smiled brightly. "Guess you guys read my book on energy techniques." Dumbfounded is always a good word to use when describing the look on their faces at times like these.

Rei: "You're not angry?" I shook my head.

Aikani: "Nah, I would have train you all in time. Shinji just took the initiative. Now tell me. Did you all choice specific techniques or did you choose names?" The book I was talking about was something I wrote in my spare time with reference from a few Dragonball information books I picked up recently. It was an attempt to actually learn the techniques which was proving rather difficult just using memory from the series. I also categorize them under the names of their users. They took some time to anaylsize my words. It was Asuka this time to step forward.

Asuka: "We took the names. I choose Vegeta. Shinji took Gohan's and Rei took Piccolo's." Hmm. Strange wouldn't begin to describe about how I felt regarding my students but things are really gonna get fun soon.

Aikani: "Would you like to know what's mine?"

Rei: "Goku's?"

Aikani: "Not quite. Mine are from a group of fighters who learned the Kami Ryuu from the same person." They were hanging on my every word. "Goku, Krillin and Yamacha."

Shinji, Asuka and Rei: "Ohhhhhhhhh." Heh, still got a long way to go before I could fight against Goku. At the current power level I'm at now, I'd say I'm as strong as Goku when he first fought Vegeta.

Aikani: "Okay then!" This will be entertaining. "Since you all have already got to the final portion of my training ahead of schedule, we will be having a test."

Asuka: "Test?"

Shinji: "What kind of test brother?"

Aikani: "A survival examination." At the word survival, each of them felt like a cold finger was running down their spine by the look of them. "This will decide whether you are done training with me or if I still get to have more fun with your asses." At this, Rei suddenly blushed heavily. And so did I. Keep your head out of the gutter, Sablan! "Umm... Like I was saying, it's a survival exam and you only have one goal." Their faces suddenly became serious trying to listen what their goal would be. "It is to defeat me!"

Shinji, Asuka & Rei: "EHHHHHH?!!!" Okay, didn't take it as well as I had hoped.

Rei: "Aikani, dear, we can't beat you. Even if we could, I wouldn't want to hurt you."

Aikani: "Relax Rei. It's not gonna be too bad. None of you can touch me so it wouldn't matter anyways." C'mon Asuka, take the bait.

Asuka: "What was that?!" Gotcha. Pride will always be a weak spot for Asuka.

Shinji: "We'll take your test and pass it without even getting a scratch!" Bro? Well, at least he grew a backbone.

Aikani: "Okay then losers! Meet me at the school field tomorrow! 12 PM, sharp! And don't be late." I used Instant-Transmission to get me to the apartments. I opened the door and was greeted by the first Eva cast member I met when I came here. "Maya Ibuki. Right?" She turned to my voice and I was even more surprised to see Misato and Fuyutsuki here too.

Maya: "Ah. Mr. Sablan, it's good to see you again." I would have talked to her more if Fuyutsuki kept his eyes off my apartment. Wait, if Fuyutsuki's here...

Aikani: "Always a pleasure to have guest of your caliber." Fuyutsuki nodded his head but Misato was staying quiet. Something weird is going on.

Fuyutsuki: "We are."

Aikani: "Pardon my rudeness, sub-commander, but where might Commander Ikari be at the moment?" All of the warmth in the place suddenly disappeared as the man himself walked out from the direction of my room.

Gendo: "Right, here." Damn that voice is creepy in person. "Pardon for the intrusion, but we require a little information that only you, yourself can provide us Mr. Sablan." Time to hustle this bastard.

Aikani: "I am always at NERV's service." I immediately went to my kitchen table and pulled out a chair for me to sit in. Right when Gendo pulled out a chair, I took a pair of shades out and put them on. Then I went for the traditional 'Gendo with hands under nose' look. This got a reaction from everyone in the room. Even if it's a small one from the bastard.

Gendo: "Why the shades? We are inside a building you know."

Aikani: "I could say the same for you but to tell you the truth I just think I look cool with these." This earned a smile from Misato and Maya.

Gendo: "Good answer. Now on to business." This questioning was inevitable. Sneaking into NERV, flying, blowing things apart with my energy. I knew they would come for me sooner or later. But... "We know it was you that attacked the seventh angel with that blue beam of energy. What's more we also know that you stole an ID-card and bypassed security clearance to make contact with the Eva pilots." But... "My first question is... who are you really? Mr. Sablan." I have a mission to accomplish.

Aikani: "I am-"

Yui: "Hold it!" What the?

Aikani: "Mom?! How the hell did you get here?"

Yui: "Sweetie, look." She pointed to the others and I noticed something strange. It was as if time had slowed down or something.

Aikani: "Uhh... Mom? What'd you do?"

Yui: "I simply stopped time." Duh!

Aikani: "I meant how? Last time I checked, you were in an Eva and communicating to me telepathically."

Yui: "Another story for another day." Great now she's trying to be a wiseass.

Aikani: "Mom, just tell me how did you do it."

Yui: "Hey! You're not the only one who can have Dragonball powers!"

Aikani: "Is this that guy from the Ginyu Force's power? What's his name?" I couldn't really name him since he wasn't as important or interesting' as the other Ginyu Force members. However, I did know his technique names. He only had two in the first place. "Is this Time Freeze?" My mom smiled and patted my head.

Yui: "You really are a smart boy." She continued patting my head.

Aikani: "Okay! Enough with the patting."

Yui: "Party-pooper." Why does my other mom have to be this weird?! "Weird?!" Oh yeah, I forgot she can read my mind too. "And I heard that comment about me being a wiseass!" I slowly started scratching my head.

Aikani: "Ehehehe... So anyways... What was that you wanted with me, mom?"

Yui: "Ah yes. I wanted to talk with you so you wouldn't blow your cover." I looked at her suspiciously.

Aikani: "How? Gendo Ikari isn't exactly easy to lie too. The guy is an expert on lying!"

Yui: "Oh don't worry about Gendo. Just act natural when you use this."

Aikani: "This?" She once again put her hand on my head and all of a sudden information was being poured into my head. It was so fast that my brain was aching from the sudden cram of knowledge. "What the hell?!"

Yui: "Good luck son! And take care of your brother!" Mom!

Misato: "Aikani?! Are you okay?" I was once again sitting down and facing Gendo Ikari from across the table.

Aikani: "Sorry about that, I kinda spaced out." The tension wasn't as thick as before and I felt lighter for some reason. "Where were we?"

Gendo: "Who are you?" Hmph. Let's see if mom's little plan will work. I reached into my pocket took out the picture mom gave me and tossed it to him. The shock on his face was priceless. Wish I had a camera. "What is the meaning of this?" Impressive, this guy really knows how to control his feelings. Hmm... I guess their memories have been altered.

Aikani: "What does it look like... Father."

Misato, Maya & Fuyutsuki: "FATHER?!!!"

Aikani: "In the year 2001, a couple working for the UN had identical twins. One was raised with them while they gave the other to a legendary master of an ancient fighting style under the request of the father. The one they raised grew to be a boy name Shinji Ikari. While the other grew to be a great fighter named Aikani Sablan." The information sunk in as Gendo continued to look more surprised with each piece of information. "In 2010, the master passed away due to illness and the apprentice of the master took care of the boy. In 2013 the apprentice then died to the same illness that plagued the master. Now in 2015 the boy has finally found his place of origin and intends to make his father pay for the misery of himself and his long lost brother."

Gendo: "So, you have finally returned." Alright! It worked. Even if it was the crappiest backstory I've ever heard.

Fuyutsuki: "Ikari, is this story true?"

Gendo: "The fact that he knows the story, has a picture of when he and Shinji were just infants and the last fact that he looks exactly like Shinji, proves without a doubt that he is indeed telling the truth." This is going better then I expected. "So, son. Will you be taking your revenge on me now?"

Aikani: "Oh no, not yet. I want it to be when you have lost all that you worked so hard for, when your ambitions have been turned around and when you have felt so low that you wish for death. That will be my time to strike against you." I got up, threw the glasses to the side and grinned with the most evil feelings I have felt in the last fourteen years of my life.

Gendo: "Then your goal might be a lot harder than you originally planned."

Aikani: "Gentlemen! I hope that this little revelation has helped you to understand just 'who' I am. So I would like you to please get the fuck out of my place." Maya looked like she was about to speak up but then just stayed quiet. "Wait. Why did you bring Lt. Ibuki? Father."

Gendo: "Oh yes. That reminds me. Since you are still a minor, I thought some adult supervision would keep you out of any trouble. So I ordered the lieutenant to become your guardian." Guardian?

Aikani: "Even if I was a complete stranger?"

Gendo: "NERV has been known to provide sufficient resources to charity cases before. You were no different." 

Aikani: "Thanks but no thanks. I've been living on my own for most of my life. I'll be fine with-" For some reason that grin on his face tells me he expected this. "Fine with one!"

Gendo: "What?"

Aikani: "All I've ever done is hang out with guys most of the time. It's a good thing I didn't turn out gay."

Fuyutsuki: "Very well then. Lieutenant, please move all your personal belongings to-"

Aikani: "Wait! I ain't done yet!" My father just looked at me. "I'll let her stay if Rei stays here as well."

Gendo: "Out of the question."

Aikani: "Ahh, come on old man. It seems only fair if it pairs up like that. Misato, Shinji and Asuka live together and look how happy they are." Fuyutsuki stepped forward.

Fuyutsuki: "It is not in your power to order us around." That's it. I put all the 'killing intent' I had and let it burst out with my energy.

Aikani: "REI WILL LIVE HERE!!!" They all stood there with their mouths open. It's a good thing I started to let go of the 'killing intent' cause I think Fuyutsuki just shit himself.

Gendo: "Fine. She can stay." I then tuned down my energy to the lowest I could go.

Aikani: "Good." They all turned to leave and went out the door one by one. Gendo was the last one.

Gendo: "However, on the condition that Rei stays here, you, son, will become a NERV employee. Is that understood?" I could only grin at his foolishness.

Aikani: "Yes sir." The moment he closed the door I couldn't hold it in. I jumped for joy at the thought of Rei living here and having access to the Magi. Finally my plans to intercept both my 'father' and SEELE are in order. Now about that test tomorrow...

-Next Day- 

I awoke to the sound of something being moved in the apartment. What I found was Maya trying to move a big box into the living room.

Aikani: "Here let me help you with that." I then lifted the box with one arm.

Maya: "Oh thank you Mr. Sablan... I mean Mr. Ikari." Ikari? Oh yeah, that story.

Aikani: "You know I went through the same thing with Misato and the others when we first met. Please call me Aikani and I'll just call you Maya. Kay?" She blushed a little and then giggled at me. Wonder what that was for.

Maya: "Alright then, Aikani." Wait a minute. She must be remembering when we first met. I then blushed too and moved to the hallway with the rooms.

Aikani: "Which one is yours?"

Maya: "I'm taking the one in the middle."

Aikani: "Alrighty." When I walked in it was pretty much the same as Asuka's room except with a laptop and a few more books about science and computers. An organized desk, a couple of stuff animals on the bed, a file cabinet and. Hey, how did all of this get in here?

Aikani: "Umm... Maya, how did you get all this stuff in here?"

Maya: "Oh, your brother, Asuka and Rei moved in."

Aikani: "They were here?"

Maya: "For a good hour. Then they said they needed to be somewhere today." Dread. I rushed towards the last room in the apartment. Inside was all of Rei's stuff. All of it. Trust me I know, I've been there. Shit! "Is something a matter?"

Aikani: "Maya, what time is it!"

Maya: "Almost 12'o clock." Double shit! I rushed to my room, put my training clothes on and ran for the door.

Aikani: "Sorry to leave ya here but I'll be back." Before she could even say anything I used Instant-Transmission and appeared on the outer side of the school's field. The strange thing was that a lot of people were here. Scratch that, the whole freaking school population was here. At the far end, I could see bro, Asuka and Rei stretching in their training clothes. Behind them was a betting board run by... Jesus, not those two again. Touji Suzahara and Kensuke Aida. So that is what this is all about. How the hell did they know about this? Never mind. Kensuke practically knows everything going on at NERV. It wouldn't be surprising if he used his information network to find out about this. The crowd seemed restless. Must be waiting for me. Well, gotta give the crowd what they want.

Aikani (in Michael Buffer's voice): "Ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for waiting for the first Tokyo-3 international fighting match!" An uproar of screams came from the bleaches that surrounded the field. Bro, Asuka and Rei were looking for any signs of my presence. "Please take notice that this match will not be for the faint of heart and we warn any who may have a weak stomach to leave the field grounds now." No one left. Well, whatever then.

"Without further ado please welcome our challengers for today's match. Next to the betting board, where a good outcome has betted that the champion is at a 24-1 odd, Shinji Ikari! Asuka Langley Sohryu! And Rei Ayanami! Tthhhheeeeeeee Eevvvvaaaaaaaa Pilots!" Another roar came from the crowds. "And now to introduce the defender of the World Championship belt, the man with only one loss in his entire fighting career, the champ, Aikani Sablan!" Sparks flew as I came through the arch, which I put up when everyone was distracted, and came out with my grand entrance. One more roar from the crowd. I looked like Ali with the way my fist were flying everywhere.

My recording continued with the announcing. "Fighters please step forward." We all moved towards the center of the field. Fire. That was the only thing I could say that was in the eyes of my students. Pure, hell-pitched fire. "Are the challengers ready?" They all nodded their heads. "Is the champion ready?"

Aikani: "Hell yeah, I'm ready!" All was quiet.

Aikani (announcer): "Are you all ready?!" Screams of readiness came from the audience. "I said, ARE YOU READY?!!!" Even louder screams came out this time. "Then for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching around the world. Ladies and Gentlemen."... "LLLLLLLLEEEETT'S GET READY TO RRUUUUMMBBBBLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"

 

 

Author: Sorry folks but that's all for now. Anyways, now that Aikani is about to go all out on Gendo and SEELE I thought you all might want to know what the bad guys are doing. So from now on we'll have little peak to see what the bad guys are up to. Oh yeah it's all dialogue though. I'm lazy!

Evil Men Corner

(Gendo): In dark depths of NERV.

Fuyutsuki: "Is that boy really your son? Ikari?"

Gendo: "Without a doubt he is."

Fuyutsuki: "I see. Then why didn't you ever tell me about him?"

Gendo: "We only needed one pilot. Not two."

Fuyutsuki: "So from the very beginning, you and Yui have..."

Gendo: "Correct, we knew of what was needed to create a full Evangelion."

Fuyutsuki: "One of the benefits for working for SEELE, eh?"

Gendo: "Hmm... It seems as though my sons are making it easier and easier for me to obtain what I want."

Fuyutsuki: "What about that boy's revenge against you? Won't that get in the way?"

Gendo: "I'll just redirect him against SEELE. He'll be a great distraction. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to rewrite my scenario."

(SEELE): In the SEELE council chamber.

SEELE02: "This appearance of being capable of fighting an angel is bothersome."

SEELE08: "And it would appear someone has tampered with our memories."

SEELE07: "Is this Ikari's doing?"

SEELE01: "Highly unlikely. Even if Ikari is working towards his own goals they can not be accomplished without finishing ours first."

SEELE03: "Then what of this being who can fight an angel. With such a power in play, it could alter the original scenario."

SEELE01: "Even if this 'being' can fight an angel, there is a very strong possibility that it cannot destroy an angel."

SEELE08: "And what of our memories? Someone out there has enough power to tamper with them."

SEELE05: "Such a threat must be found and silenced."

SEELE01: "Gentlemen, as long as we possess the Dead Sea Scrolls, nothing will be able to stop our ambition. Is there any more news?"

SEELE12: "It would seem that three more of these beings that can fight against the angels, have shown themselves."

SEELE04: "Where?"

SEELE12: "In Tokyo-3."

SEELE01: "If it will put your worries to rest, I will make NERV handle the situation about these 'beings' and give a detailed report. Only the Evangelions can defeat the angels and nothing else will interfere with our scenario. Once again, God is in his heaven."

SEELE: "All is right with the world. Amen."

Chapter 5-Passing the test

 

Last Chapter: It was mostly training for the Eva pilots as Aikani put them all through their paces with the Kame-sennin Ryuu. As he soon realized that the pilots were already far ahead of the training Aikani decided that he needed to test their strength to evaluate what he would do next. As a crowd watched with anticipation of the upcoming fight between students and teacher they held their breaths.

 

Shinji (POV)

Brother. He just continued to stare at us as that announcer kept ranting about how ready we were. I gave the signal to surround him once this guy was done talking.

Aikani (Michael Buffer's voice): "LLLLLLLLEEEETT'S GET READY TO RRUUUUMMBBBBLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" Now! The three of us surrounded brother in a triangle pattern. He just looked as if he was bored. He didn't even bother to go into a stance like the rest of us.

Aikani: "There will only be one rule throughout this entire test. And that rule is to come at me with the intent to kill. Otherwise... I'll kill all of you." So it's basically kill or be killed, huh?

Touji: "GO SHINJI!!! Beat the shit out of him!"

Kensuke: "Show him what Eva pilots are made of!" Ugh, why can't those two ever be quiet for once? I appreciate the support they were giving but now wasn't the time. We needed to concentrate. Asuka gave the signal for Rei to attack first. We would be support. Brother still hadn't taken a defensive stance yet. Or any stance for that matter. Rei then launched herself at him at full speed.

Aikani: "Hmph." What the? Right before Rei could attack a shockwave of pure energy emitted from brother. This is bad! He's doing it!

Asuka: "Wondergirl! Get out of there! He's powering up!" This is really bad. As bro continued to power up I felt the waves of energy pouring out of him. The ground actually started to shake from the immense power. I headed towards Rei to get her out of there. Asuka must've been thinking the same. "Shinji, what about the crowd?" As I turned to look another shockwave came from brother. This time it was accompanied by an energy field that passed right through us.

Shinji: "Asuka, I don't think we have to worry about the crowd."

Asuka: "What are you talking about, idiot."

Shinji: "This test isn't for them. It's meant for us." She quickly turned around and looked at the audience. The energy field had stopped right before them covering the area all around the field up to the bleachers. It also reached up to the sky. Probably as high as an Eva.

Rei: "Stay focused." Rei's voice brought me out of my thinking as I then notice the huge power level that was located were my brother was. "Don't you think that's a bit much, dear?"

Aikani: "You all said you could handle it so I won't toy around with you. This will be the test to see whether or not you have the strength to stand on your own." If that's what he wants then that's what we'll give it to him.

Shinji: "Alright then, no toying around. Asuka. Rei. I think it's about time to bring my brother to his knees." They both grinned and stood straight. We had our backs against each other and started taking this seriously ourselves. We focused on the signal thought of bringing our power out. We called and it came.

Aikani: "Oh ho. Interesting. You power up in a small space so that your bodies can get use to the power that all of you are emitting at the same time. This cuts the time needed to bring out 100% of your power in half." He started to pop his bones, which would be his way of stretching. I could then feel my body returning to normal. Something's weird. I never felt this powerful before. "Impressive. I guess I was smart powering up all the way in the first place." Asuka then gave another hand signal. It's time.

Asuka: "Let's try this again!" We surrounded brother once again and like before let Rei handle him first.

Rei: "Here I come, sensei!" Rei started off with a leg swipe to his legs. He just jumped over it. Using the momentum to turn, she then tried to back hand him in the face. Brother then caught it.

Shinji: "Rei!"

Asuka: "Wondergirl!" We both rushed in. He then picked up Rei by her fist and tossed her in the sky. We flew after them.

Aikani: "I guess you'll be the first to go, Rei!" Brother then put his elbow and palm together and slammed Rei right in the stomach. Rei's scream would have been unbearable if that was actually her. She then plummeted straight towards the ground. "Maybe my faith in your powers was misplaced, eh?!" Brother looked down on us. He's expecting one of us to catch her then take that one out. Sorry to disappoint you brother. As Rei flew we simply just rushed right passed her. The shock on his face was priceless. "What are you fools doing?!" He watched as she continued to fall. And that's when his shock was intensified when that Rei fell right into another Rei.

Rei: "Thanks for returning her, dear."

Aikani: "What?!" Both Asuka and I were in perfect position to strike. He probably had just realized it by now. Yup, he's just sensed us.

Asuka: "Galick Gun! Fire!"

Shinji: "Masenko haaa!" The beams hit him dead on. A large explosion came right afterwards. Nothing but smoke was all I could see. "Hey Asuka! Do you see him?!"

Asuka: "-cough, cough- No! Not yet! Hey Wondergirl! Have you seen him yet?!" I looked down to see Rei frantically searching the sky.

Rei: "No! Wait! There! Above the smoke!" Oh crap! Was that a Split Form we just attacked?!

Asuka: "Rei! Prepare the Special Beam Cannon!" Special Beam Cannon?!

Rei: "But that could kill him!"

Asuka: "Rei! Didn't you hear him?! It's kill or be killed!" Dammit.

Shinji: "Rei! Just do it!"

Rei: "But I."

Aikani: "But you what?" I turned around to see brother breathing heavily and covered from head to toe in scratches. He had a look on him that showed just how angry, no, irritated he was with us. I looked Asuka in the eye and we understood our attack plan. We then grabbed onto each of brother's arms and locked our arms together. At the same time we had our feet on his back, this disabled him from using his arms. "What the hell! Get off of me you bastards!"

Shinji: "Rei! Do it! Blast him!"

Aikani: "Hey! I told you to get off of me!" I was losing my grip on his arm, slowly but surely. I looked at Asuka and she was also having a difficult time too.

Rei: "But what about."

Shinji & Asuka: "REI!!!" Rei then closed her eyes and looked up with a fierce determination.

Rei: "I'm sorry, Aikani." Rei then put here two fingers together and put them right in front of her forehead. The energy that was gathering to her had a yellow color and electricity was being emitted from it. Her concentration was made audible when the ground around her started shaking. "Shinji. Asuka. Prepare to get out of the way!" Both Asuka and I braced ourselves till it was the right time to let go. "Special Beam Cannon!" The beam rocketed towards us, or more specifically brother. He then started to struggle even more.

Aikani: "YOU STUPID FUCKS!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!!!" The moment I saw the beam touched my brother, we had let go of him as we were thrown back by the following explosion. This time we didn't have to wait for him. His body was already falling to the ground. Wait, this doesn't fell right. Why isn't he trying to get up? Why isn't he trying to move? -thud- The body hit the ground and my fear intensified.

Shinji: "Brother!"

Rei: "Aikani!" All three of us rushed towards the landing spot trying not to think of what this could possibly mean.

Shinji: "Hey, brother. Enough playing around this isn't funny." I started to shake him, trying to wake him up. No. This wasn't supposed to happen. You're not supposed to die! Then my eyes started to watered.

Asuka: "Hey Wonder-Idiot! Wake up already!" Asuka proceeded to kick him in his side. She even kicked harder once she was sure that he wouldn't respond. She held her head down as she continued to kick him. Rei walked forward with her face as calm as could be but her body was trembling all over. She knelt down and pulled his face into her lap after Asuka stopped kicking him.

Rei: "Hey, sleepy head. Wake up. I never got to hear those words from you. The words I told you that day. That I lov-" Bro's hand shot from his side and punched me in the gut. The pain was nothing compared to the shock.

Aikani: "What did I tell you about letting your guard down, students?" He got up and brushed any dirt of from his cloths and took on a fighting stance. What did he just say?!

Shinji: "What's going on?! We thought you were dead!"

Asuka: "Yeah! We were worried about you!" He just let out a sigh and looked at us with a straight face.

Aikani: "Did any of you bother to check if I was really dead or not? Last time I checked the Special Beam Cannon pierced the target's body and not suppose to emit an explosion." We looked at each other and let our embarrassment kick in. None of us had confirmed even if bro had actually died. We all just assumed he was dead. "Thanks for worrying about me but this match is far from over." At this we once again took on our stances. "Oh, and Rei." Rei looked up at the call of her name. "I love you too." Rei was now full of blushes as she was now looking at the ground.

Rei: "I know that silly, after the match I'll show you how much I love you." Oh no, he has that stupid grin on his face again.

Aikani: "Well then my students let round two commence!"

Asuka: "Pervert."

Shinji: "Yeah, pervert."

Aikani: "Fufufufufufufu. Oh Shinji, we are more alike then you could possibly know." Is he saying I'm a pervert like him?

Asuka: "Shinji isn't perverted!"

Rei: "Oh really?" Crap. I forgot about that incident with Rei!

Asuka: "He's just clumsy around girls."

Rei: "Is that so? Trying to protect your boyfriend, eh?"

Asuka: "Hey! Just because your boyfriend is a pervert don't go around and accuse others of being the same!" Maybe I should intervene.

Aikani: "Alright children! Like I said, this is round two! This time I'll take you on seriously." Oh yeah, the match. We continued to stare each other down waiting for the opportune time to attack.

Asuka: "Full frontal?"

Rei: "If he wasn't taking us seriously last time then our tactics won't work."

Shinji: "I guess in the end all we can do is hope that we get lucky."

Asuka: "Shinji, stop being an idiot. We may not be able to take him on one on one but if we fight him all together then we're sure to win."

Shinji: "You sure about that?"

Rei: "Of course, teamwork is our strongest advantage."

Asuka: "Yeah! Wondergirl sees my point."

Shinji: "Teamwork?"

Asuka & Rei: "Teamwork." We positioned ourselves in a straight line for the attack. He won't know what hit him.

Aikani: "C'mon already! Getting bored on this end!" Heh. Try this! We all headed straight towards him. I was in front. Rei was in the middle and Asuka in the back. Once we were in range I simply flipped right over him. Rei was the one who started the attack with a couple jabs to the front which connected. I went for a round house kick to the back and it propelled him straight to Asuka who finished our combo off by an overhead clasp fist to the head.

Rei: "Got him!" Brother then stumbled for a bit and tried to regain his composure. I looked at Rei and signal for an attack from behind. But right before we could attack him he simply disappeared.

Shinji: "What the?"

Asuka: "Shinji! Behind you!" Before I could turn around I felt a sharp pain in my neck. It was so intense that I thought I was going to die. I feel to my knees clutching the back of my neck. I tried as hard as I could and pushed the pain away. As I got up I saw Rei in the same trouble I was in, clutching her neck. Brother was just where we were holding his hands up, probably where our necks had been. Asuka came into view as she slid to his left. I was on the right. We rushed him from both sides.

Shinji: "You're not getting away this time." As we closed in, time seemed to slow down as he stood in a straight position and awaited us. A mere five feet away and he jumped in the air while spinning. Two more feet and his feet went flying. I saw him hit Asuka right under the chin while I was unlucky enough to be hit in the back of my head. Darkness was all I could see. Damn it.

As I wondered through the darkness I thought about where I could be. Two voices caught my attention as I heard something that was centered around my father.

Unknown Voice: "How? Gendo Ikari isn't exactly easy to lie too. The guy is an expert on lying!" That voice, its brother's. Why is he trying to lie to father?

Unknown Voice 2: "Oh don't worry about Gendo. Just act natural when you use this." And that voice. It's so familiar but from where?

Aikani: "This?" I could then hear my brother's screams. He sounded like he was in anguish. I wanted to yell out to him but I couldn't speak. "What the hell?!"

Yui: "Good luck son! And take care of your brother!" Brother? Could they be talking about me?

Asuka: "SHINJI!!!" I awoke to explosions happening all over. I must've fainted. It looked like a scene from one of bro's war movies.

Shinji: "What's happening?!" Asuka grabbed my head and dove to the ground.

Asuka: "Rei just got up and started using your brother as target practice. She was missing in the beginning." Was?

Shinji: "What do you mean was missing'?"

Asuka: "It was a setup for her Hellzone Grenade." That's Rei's most powerful attack. "Now she's blasting at any sign of him."

Shinji: "He survived?!"

Asuka: "Idiot! Just look around you. If he was dead you think we would be in this kinda mess." Then why the did you have to wake me?

Shinji: "Now what do we do? Everything we tried hasn't even made any effect on him. He just brushes us off like we're flies. And when he does attack we fall from just one hit." Another giant explosion shook the ground as debris went flying.

Asuka: "There's only one thing I can think of."

Shinji: "And what's that?" This better be good.

Asuka: "Your Kamehameha wave." Maybe but...

Shinji: "But I don't have the right amount of energy needed to make it work against him."

Asuka: "That's were we come in."

Shinji: "We?"

Asuka: "Wondergirl and myself of course!" This just might work. I nodded my approval and smiled at the possibility.

Shinji: "You do know it's a slime chance."

Asuka: "What do you take me for? An idiot?" We waited for another explosion to give us some cover to find Rei. Once it happened we moved as fast we could. Rei wasn't very far from where we were. It seemed like she and brother were heading for our location.

Aikani: "Jeez Rei, give it up already."

Rei: "Never. Sensei." When we got there, Rei was covered in light bruises and cuts. She was also breathing heavily. She must've wasted a lot of energy with those attacks. I stepped in between them as Asuka went to talk to Rei.

Aikani: "Awake are we? Took you long enough." Gotta buy them time. Wait a sec that dream.

Shinji: "Hey bro. Mind if I ask you a question." He looked up into the sky then back at me.

Aikani: "We've been fighting for two hours now. I suppose I can spare a minute." Man, he's acting pretty arrogant right now.

Shinji: "Who were your parents?" He seemed slightly shocked at that but regain his normal look.

Aikani: "My parents died when I was very young. I don't remember them well." He's avoiding the question. Why?

Shinji: "I didn't ask what happen to them. I asked who your parents are." He took a serious look and stared me down.

Aikani: "What are you getting at?"

Shinji: "Could you... could you be somehow related to me?" More shock. "I mean every time I'm looking at you. Like I am now, it's like looking into a mirror." He stayed quiet for a sec. And his face softened as he replied.

Aikani: "It really is, isn't it?" So, that dream! Could he really be related to me?! "I can tell by that look on your face you've found something out. So I'll make you a deal." A deal? "If all three of you pass this test then maybe I'll tell you something about my origins. Kay?" As I continued to look at him I was more and more determined to figure out the truth behind his words.

Shinji: "Then let's finish this." Asuka and Rei took up a side next to me and started pushing their energy towards me. "Kaaa."

Aikani: "So this is the last act, eh? I've enjoyed the entertainment but it looks like I'll have to end this." He floated into the air and took my exact same stance. "Kaaa." I guess it all depends on whose wave wins. We'll be too exhausted after this to fight anymore. We gotta make this count.

Aikani & Shinji: "Meeee... haaaa... meeeee..." This is it. The last attack. I have to win. Not only for Asuka and Rei but also for myself. "HAAAAAA!!!" The beams attacked each other with so much force. It was unlike anything I ever felt before. Neither beams wanted to give the other a chance.

Aikani: "This is the finisher!" I could feel my beam being pushed back as we tried to fight back as best as we could. We've lost. Then everything started getting brighter. It got to the point that I couldn't see the beam anymore or anything else. I couldn't even feel anything anymore and then I heard a voice.

Unknown Voice: "Oh, my Shinji. You've grown into a bright young man." That voice. It was the one talking to bro. "And speaking of that brother of yours, you two are a team. Always remember that Shinji. If either one of you is in any trouble the other is sure to be there to help. So take care of each other. Okay?" Mother?!

Asuka: "Shinji. I'm not your mother." I awoke once again to see Asuka right above me. "Hey, call me mother one more time and I swear you'll never get to have any children as long as I live."

Shinji: "Asuka! What about the match? Did we win?" Asuka just looked towards the ground and I already had a suspicion of our chances.

Asuka: "C'mon, he's about to decide." As I got up I took a look around to see that the energy field was gone and that the entire student body was on the field surrounding the betting board. Needless to say we had a hard time navigating through the debris. Brother was standing on the table where Touji, Kensuke and Hikari were. Rei was right next to him.

Aikani: "Okay ladies and gents. You saw it here first! What a glorious match that was!" Bro took some time clearing his voice.

Aikani (Michael Buffer's voice): "And still the undisputed champion... Aiiikkkkaaaaaaannnniiii Sablan!" A great deal of cheering went throughout the crowd. While the three of us was feeling like we had just wasted our time here. "All betting earns can be gain at the betting table." He lightly tapped his foot on the table. "Thank you for your participation today and hope that you'll be there to see more international matches." More? "Thanks you for coming today! Please drive safely home!" He jumped down and headed for us. All throughout the crowd I could hear cheering of our names as people were amazed by what they just saw. Some were swearing at us saying it was out fault they lost their money but most cheered.

Shinji: "Hey, did you two see where Touji or Kensuke go to?" Rei shook her head as Asuka continued to look around.

Asuka: "Hikari isn't here either." We were about to continue our search for our friends until brother came up to us. 

Aikani: "Alrighty. I got enough energy left for one more Instant-Transmission." He grabbed all of us by the arm.

Shinji: "A what?" I felt a shift in footing as I was now in an air-conditioned room. "How did we get here?!"

Aikani: "One of my little techniques." We all sat in silence as if daring someone to talk. "Now about your grade on the test."

Shinji: "Wait! Didn't we lose?!"

Asuka: "Yeah! Wasn't defeating you the whole point to the test?!"

Aikani: "Yes and no."

Rei: "What do you mean?"

Aikani: "Yes, your main goal was to defeat me with all that you had but I also wanted to evaluate where you were on an individual level." So we still have a chance of passing!

Rei: "How are you able to tell what level we are at?" Who cares as long as we pass.

Asuka: "Wondergirl, who cares as long as we pass." What she said.

Aikani: "First I'll answer Rei's question then give my evaluation." Phew, as long as we do well enough I can get some answers out of him. "Remember that grand master I told you about? The one that could challenge god himself?" We all nodded. "Well that guy was not only my teacher but someone you've read about."

Shinji: "Who?"

Aikani: "The legendary warrior Son Goku." Surprised was not our current state of being. We were done right shocked.

Rei: "If he was your teacher then where is he now?"

Aikani: "He's dead. Old age finally caught onto the legend." Once again silence set in as we offered some silence for brother's old teacher.

Rei: "We're sorry." He just grinned.

Aikani: "Don't be. He always said that we should remember him as the goofy old man he was." That seemed to lighten our consciences. "Now as I was saying. We have a detailed account of Goku's life. So by looking at how strong you are and how strong Goku was at a certain point we can tell just how powerful you've become."

Shinji, Asuka & Rei: "Ohhhhhhhhh."

Aikani: "Now for the evaluation. As a whole you are all at a point where Goku fought this guy named Captain Ginyu. But individually you're as strong when he fought the warrior name Vegeta."

Asuka: "Vegeta?!"

Aikani: "Right, the person who created all of your moves wasn't always a good guy, y'know." Asuka seemed to take the news easily as she calmed down enough to stop glaring at bro. "Now like I was saying, all of you are at that point. Not only did I base this on power alone but also on wisdom and teamwork."

Asuka: "Told you our teamwork would get us through that match." Great, is we pass she's never gonna let us hear the end of it.

Aikani: "Anyways, I'm happy to say that you all pass." We were left speechless at the sound of that one word. Right before any of us could speak. We were bombarded with confetti and cheers.

Misato, Maya, Touji, Kensuke & Hikari: "CONGRATULATIONS!!!" The happiness in the room was so overwhelming that you might've thought we've beaten all the angels.

Aikani: "Only on one condition!" That killed the mood. "You are still my students until I say so. Remember you passed only one of your objectives. Till the day comes you're able to stand against me you all will continue to be my students." We all understood his circumstances. "Is that understood?!"

Shinji, Asuka & Rei: "Yes sir!" Brother then got up from the chair he was sitting on and went to get a drink.

Rei: "You interrupt the party just to say that? What a party-pooper." Brother almost lost balanced and looked at Rei.

Aikani: "I'm getting tired of people calling me that!" He looked around at all of us and just took a sip of his drink. "What the hell you all standing around for? Let's party!" Everyone agreed with a cheer. As the party went on so did its happy members. Asuka was covering me with kisses which led me to the assumption that she had drunken some of Misato's beer or she felt really in the mood to have 'fun', in brother's terms. At that point I heard a commotion from across the room to see Aikani with two girls attached to both of his arms. It was surprising to see Ms. Ibuki acting like that. Aikani then laughed out load at the situation. Don't tell me he's drunk too. Either that or he's without a doubt a super pervert. Oh yeah, the question. It took a while to get Asuka to stop kissing me and make her agree to let me talk to my brother.

Aikani: "Ladies! No need to argue over me. I'm always willing to have multiple wives to revive the Sablan clan." I still don't know whether he's drunk or just being perverted.

Maya: "Wait don't you mean the Ikari clan?" What? Aikani was trying to make her be quiet but I had already heard it.

Shinji: "Ikari? You're an Ikari?!" Brother just slapped his forehead and slumped in the couch.

Aikani: "I guess there's no point in lying to you Shinji. I'll have to tell you the truth."

Rei: "Dear, what are you talking about?" Usually Asuka's constantly adding her thoughts but she wasn't. I turned to see her trying to focus her attention on the conversation at hand. Okay... Now it's obvious she's drunk.

Aikani: "My real name is Aikani Ikari. And I am your twin brother Shinji."

Rei, Touji, Kensuke & Hikari: "TWIN BROTHER?!!!"

Misato: "Yeah! Tell the whole world your tragic story, kiddo! -hiccup-." Misato then slumped all the way out of her seat and fell to the ground.

Aikani: "How the hell did she pass out? It's only 4'o clock. It usually takes longer, way longer, for her to pass out." Maya then got up and with the assistance of Hikari put Misato to bed. "Now where was I? Oh yes. The story of the tragic fate of the two brothers."

A few minutes later.

So I had a brother. A real brother. All this time I thought I had it rough, but Aikani was abandon when we were only babies. Never knowing mother, not even knowing father.

Rei: "Oh Aikani, that such a sad story." Rei was in tears and buried her face on Ai... I mean brother's shirt. -sniff, sniff- I turned to see Hikari also in tears and hanging onto Touji. Kensuke was using his right arm to wipe away any tears that leaked out of his eyes. And Asuka... Asuka now had a more serious face on then ever.

Asuka: "Okay everyone, party's over." She started shoving both Kensuke and Touji out. Hikari was following behind. Once our guest were gone brother started talking again.

Aikani: "Shinji. I want revenge. Against the man who had done this to us." I immediately knew of who he was talking about. I mean how couldn't I?

Shinji: "Father."

Aikani: "Yes. I want to take revenge on the man who had abandoned us both. The man who gave me up as an infant and who abandon you as a child. What I am trying to get at Shinji." He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Are you with me or against me?"

Shinji: "If you succeed. You'll have no purpose left. Nothing to do except wasting away on where it had gone so wrong." I had opened my mouth without even thinking about it.

Aikani: "So you have thought about revenge too? I told you we were more alike then you realized." I looked down as his words sunk in deep. I had thought of revenge before but as soon as father had called for me they were thrown out the window for a few days. After I found out that he just needed me to pilot I had tried to run away. Maybe revenge is the only way I could settle these conflicts between us. "You say I'll have nothing left. But you're wrong Shinji. I'll have Rei... Maya... my brother... Asuka... Misato... and the rest of my friends. You see I'm not your typical angsting avenger."

Shinji: "I see your point." Asuka walked right next to me and took my hand.

Asuka: "Shinji." Hmm... They don't call him a genius for nothing. Father...

Shinji: "Alright then. Need some help?"

 

 

Author: The ending wasn't as great as I hoped it would be. I was half-asleep when I finished it. The main thing about this chapter was the exam. I also wanted to see how well I could do action parts without them becoming to mundane with all the dialogue that I've seen recently in some fanfics. Not to name some but head over to the Naruto section to see some. Now for the old men!

Evil Men Corner 

(Gendo): In the park near NERV headquarters.

Fuyutsuki: "How has the new scenario been going?"

Gendo: "Quite well. I fully integrated Aikani into the scenario now."

Fuyutsuki: "I see."

Gendo: "He will become a great asset. I've already moved up the finished date for the Instrumentality project."

Fuyutsuki: "So he will make that much of a difference?"

Gendo: "Yes. Yes he will. Did you find out what was the source of those tremors we experienced today?"

Fuyutsuki: "I'm sure you already know."

Gendo: "I had predicted that he would take such a course of action."

Fuyutsuki: "So even that has already been put into your scenario?"

Gendo: "Hmm... There is a problem though."

Fuyutsuki: "A problem?"

Gendo: "My son's romantic relationship with Rei."

Fuyutsuki: "I see. That would be a problem if she was to slip out of your control."

Gendo: "That will never happen!"

Fuyutsuki: "Oh?"

Gendo: "Measures have already been taken to ensure that my son finds another interest."

Fuyutsuki: "So that's why you put the lieutenant there."

Gendo: "Everything will go according to the scenario. I'll make sure it does."

(SEELE): In the SEELE council chamber.

SEELE11: "Two meetings in only two days? Things must be far worse then anticipated."

SEELE01: "This is only a precaution due to our members own concern."

SEELE06: "So will action be taken against those beings we spoke of yesterday?"

SEELE01: "I have already sent NERV to investigate these 'beings'. We will have a full report by the end of the week."

SEELE12: "A huge spike of energy was detected on the outskirts of Tokyo-3. It is my belief that these beings participated in a battle against each other."

SEELE03: "So they have done NERV's job for them then?"

SEELE12: "The moment the spike reached its peak, it suddenly disappeared."

SEELE07: "So they just vanished?"

SEELE01: "That is why I have sent NERV to find the identities of these 'beings' so we can put our worries to rest and silence their troublemakers."

SEELE09: "How is Tabris progressing?"

SEELE02: "Faster than expected. We will be able to send him to NERV ahead of schedule and proceed with our plans."

SEELE01: "Excellent. Then if there are no more questions. Once again, God is in his heaven."

SEELE: "All is right with the world. Amen."

Chapter 6-The simple life of an Eva pilot. Meet Eva Unit-0X.

 

Last Chapter: As the exam began the three Eva pilots thought they had a chance against their new friend. Unfortunately, they soon found out about the huge power gap between them. However, due to other circumstances Aikani let them pass on the exception that he would still be their teacher. A party was held to celebrate the passing of the exam. At that party Aikani revealed that he was Shinji’s long lost brother, according to Yui’s story. In the end Shinji agreed to take revenge against their father.

Aikani (POV)

Once again I found myself in the dark recesses of my own mind. In the time that I’ve spent here, I’ve learned that I could control how the environment looked. Thus, the only reason why it was so dark was because of the fact that I naturally prefer the dark. Which made it easy to see mom. After all she does tend to emit beams of light every now and then. Speaking of which…

Aikani: “Evening mom.”

Yui: “It’s near morning now, son.” She replied in a sarcastic tone.

Aikani: “Well, excuse me if I can’t even monitor what’s going on outside while I’m stuck in my own head.” Man, she sure can be difficult.

Yui: “What’d you say?!”

Aikani: “Nothing!” …

Yui: “That’s better.”

Aikani: “So what’d you need me for mom? A new mission? Another back-up story?” It’s never too safe to know really detailed events in you made-believe life.

Yui: “I agree with some more details about explaining how you got to Tokyo-3 in the first place, but that’s not why I called you here today.” She motioned for me to come closer as she took something out from her lab coat pocket. The lab coat? Depending on her mood, mom sometimes wears the lab outfit, her plug suit, or casual clothes. I've only seen her plug suit once. “Catch.” She tossed something to me and as soon as it left her hand I instinctively knew what it was.

Aikani: “Neural links? But these are only given to Eva pilots… Mom!”

Yui: “Bye, bye son. Have a wonderful day!” Huh? Light quickly started to cover the darkness as our distance grew more and more. Shit, I’m waking up.

Aikani: “Damn you!”

Rei: “Honey, why are you damning me?” I opened my eyes to see Rei lying on top of me.

Aikani: “Just a retarded dream dear.” She put her face directly over mine and stared.

Rei: “Well, as long as you’re not damning me in your retarded dreams I guess its okay.” I could only smile a half-smile since it that whole sentence seemed too confusing at the moment. “Morning.” She planted two light kisses before getting off of me and heading for the door. I too got up and took a quick look around the room. We had brought the wall that separated Rei’s room and mine down so we could be together. We also put the beds together so it could be one huge queen size bed. Our dressers were side by side as well as our other belongings. Heh. I remember the incident that took place when started to make the room arrangements.

(Maya: “But why can’t I move in too?!” Ah man.

Aikani: “Maya, if you were to move in the new room with me and Rei then how would it look like if some stranger just popped up and found out our ‘guardian’ was sleeping with us in the same bed?” Hope she understands. She had a thoughtful look on her face and turned to me once she looked like she an answer.

Maya: “It’ll look like we’re one big happy family!” I crashed right into the floor. “Don’t you agree Rei?”

Rei: “Why yes it would.” I suddenly tripped on a banana peel that was lying on the floor when I heard Rei’s reply. As the girls seemed intent on the subject I decided to put more of my wits into this.

Aikani: “Look Maya, I’m not saying we shouldn’t it’s just that the commander put you here for a reason. To be our guardian. Not my other girlfriend. If he was to find out then what do you think he would do? He’d separate the three of us. I mean c’mon, he’s a total dick.” Maya looked discomforted by the news about our boss and looked down in defeat.

Maya: “I guess you’re right.” Of course I am. Rei came over and put here arms around Maya.

Rei: “Its okay, maybe all of us can sleep together sometimes.” She brought her head up to look at Rei.

Maya: “Promise?”

Aikani & Rei: “Promise.” At that word she suddenly got a very evil looking grin on her face.

Maya: “Oh, we’re gonna have fun on those nights.” Dear God, what did I get myself into?

Maya just stood there laughing for a few minutes straight. At that moment both Rei and I thought the same thing. ‘Oh shit’)

Aikani: “Thank god she was just messing with us.” Although I wouldn’t mind having Maya and Rei at the same time. Hehehe.

Rei: “Messing with who?”

Aikani: “Ah, nothing.” I then walked over and tossed Rei on my back. “Ready?”

Rei: “Ready.” We walked out to see Maya sitting down and drinking coffee while reading the newspaper.

Aikani & Rei: “Morning.”

Maya: “Morning.” Hmm, casual clothes.

Aikani: “No work today Maya?”

Maya: “I got the evening shift. Dr. Akagi wants me to take care of the data from the test the Magi are doing today.”

Rei: “Well it’s a good thing it’s Friday. We can have fun going out tomorrow!”

Aikani: “Yup.” Maya then took notice of the fact that Rei was on my back.

Maya: “Are you two going to bother Shinji for breakfast again?”

Aikani & Rei: “Yup!” We started for the door once Maya got back to her newspaper.

Maya: “Well then have fun.” We exited the apartment and headed next door. One jolt should do the trick. I sent energy converted into electricity into the lock. It opened. Man, these card locks sure are easy to break into. I readjusted Rei and opened the door. 3… 2… 1!

Aikani & Rei: “Shinji! Feed us!”

Asuka: “Will you two find your own cook in the morning, jeesh!” Looks like the Katsuragi residence is lively today. Huh?

Aikani: “Uh… Why are you guys in your school uniforms?” They looked at each other as if I had said something crazy.

Shinji: “Brother. Did you bump your head or something? We still have school you know.” Wait, today is… Friday?

Aikani: “AH!!! Rei! Why didn’t you remind me?!” At this point I was shaking my head as well as shaking Rei who was still on my back.

Rei: “But dear I thought you knew. You are the genius.” Man…

After the shenanigans of breakfast we all headed out for school. As yes, school. A wonderful opportunity to explore new sights especially those of girls in short skirts.

Shinji: “Brother. What are you staring at?” Why can’t they let me have a bit of fun?

Asuka: “Oh great he’s being perverted again.”

Aikani: “Bunch of spoiled sports.” The trip through Tokyo-3 to school kept mostly like this. Shinji and Asuka kept to each other while at the same time keeping me from my hobby. While Rei and I talked about stuff. People everywhere kept staring at us as we walked through the city. Mostly the male majority as they took a good look at our companions. I just reacted with putting my arm over Rei and bringing her closer to me. Shinji proceeded to do the same. Our speed towards school increased to running faster then the cars. It cut our time to school by half. By the time we came in sight of it we saw another group of three entering the gate. “Yo! Kensuke, Touji!”

Asuka: “Hikari!” As the girls went on there own, so did we.

Touji: “I still can’t believe you’re dating the demon, Shinji. I mean did any of you possibly imagine that she even had a heart?”

Shinji: “Touji, would you stop with the nickname already.”

Touji: “Hey she may have stopped picking on you but you can never truly be too safe.”-clink- Huh? Better see what that was. I started to sense other presences beside us.

Kensuke: “You’re getting too paranoid these days Touji.”-clink- Hmm… They look like regular students. Wait, I know these punks.

Aikani: “Will all of you relax. Looks like we got company.” They finally realized that we were in the middle of an ambush. Okay, ambush is too strong of a word for a bunch of kids like these. More likely they’re just gonna jump us. One of them stepped foreword. The leader most likely. Heh, I know this jerk. “Hikaru Tokigawa.”

Hikaru: “Ikari. Hmph, today’s the today that I’ll finally put you in your place. Oh boy, once we get rid of you fools. The real fun will begin.” They seem to have a plan. But most importantly…

Aikani: “You are the real fools forgetting who we are.” I then started to power up. A little taste should scare them. Another stepped forward beside Hikaru. His name was Seigo Watanabe.
Seigo: “Don’t be afraid everyone! It’s just a fancy trick he can do! Don’t buy into it!” Taking the Hercule approach, eh. Then I guess we’ll just have to show them how weak they are. I turned my head to see my brother.

Shinji: “I understand brother. Allow me to handle this.” He powered up to 10%.

Hikaru: “The younger Ikari. I was hoping to beat you down first.”

Shinji: “Touji, Kensuke. Stay back.” They more then agreed and took up a corner of the school building. “Why are you so interested in fighting us?”

Hikaru: “You’re girlfriends.”

Aikani & Shinji: “What?!” What are these freaks getting at? They couldn’t possibly be trying to…

Aikani: “Just what are you trying to get at?!” He just stood there and smiled.

Hikaru: “As soon as we get rid of you two all of us and I mean all of us are gonna have some fun with them. Especially Sohryu. I mean she was such a tease when she first came here. But to say the least, we’ll have some fun that’ll last for a long time. Hehehe.” THAT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

Aikani & Shinji: “OVER OUR DEAD BODIES!!!” Fuck 10! Going for 100%, maximum power! We’ll tear these fools apart!

Seigo: “Are you sure it’s not a trick?!” Thinking about leaving now, are we?

Hikaru: “Don’t be afraid! This is only a trick! It’s still only Ikari and his brother!” I disappeared and reappeared right behind him.

Aikani: “Were you saying something?” One finger sent him flying across the street and through the window of a store. “I’m gonna enjoy kicking your asses.” Seigo was now in the lead of a mass exodus out of the danger zone. Shinji soon stood in between them and their only exit.

Shinji: “Going so soon?” Only a slight touch and Seigo was off flying. “You pathetic weaklings will pay for even thinking about doing such atrocities. I’ll make sure that each and everyone of you pay.”

Aikani: “And I’ll reinforce that claim.” We now stood on opposite ends of the group and just stood there. Daring them to make a move. An individual from the middle stepped forward. Huh? Takeshi?

Takeshi: “Please. Shinji, Aikani. This was all Tokigawa and Watanabe’s idea.”

Shinji: “Then why did you go along with it?!”

Takeshi: “If we didn’t, they threatened to get help from their gang and beat each and every one of us.” Why these lying pack of filth!

Aikani: “Shinji!” I was cut off to see my brother staring at the ground. He was always a pushover in the series. He still is even now.

Shinji: “Is this true?” Takeshi only nodded his head. There was some murmuring in the group. Various agreements with Takeshi. People pleading for us not to do to them what we already did to Hikaru and Seigo. I’ve had enough of this.

Aikani: “Cowards! Each and every one of you! Didn’t you even think about getting help?! I thought some of you considered us friends! But I guess when push comes to shove, it’s your own skins you’ll think about in the end, eh?!” I looked over at my brother once more to see the conflict in his eyes. He still believes in second chances. Tsk. I’ll take care of this. “If I catch any one of you in a similar situation ever again, there won’t be a second chance. Get out of here.” They proceeded out of the area in a manner that seemed like their lives were in danger. Oh yeah, they were.

Shinji: “Why? How could they do that to us? How could they even think of doing that to Asuka and Rei?!” Shinji.

Aikani: “They weren’t truly our friends in the first place. Keep that in mind Shinji.”

Shinji: “But!”

Asuka: “What the hell happened here?!” Save by the Second. Rei was trailing right behind her. She just raised an eyebrow to the scene.

Shinji: “Asuka… What happen was…”

Aikani: “We had a friendly sparring match. I guess I couldn’t really help myself. Sorry Rei.” Touji and Kensuke decided to take this opportunity to leave the area and head for class.

Kensuke: “That sure was intense.”

Touji: “Remind me not to call Asuka a demon no more.”

Kensuke: “Good thing I caught the action on film.” Note to self. Destroy Kensuke’s camera later.

Rei: “Well you could have done it somewhere away from the school. Honestly look at the mess.” I started walking towards Rei but Shinji stepped in front of me. His eyes still held conflict. I simply put my hand on his shoulder and looked him in his eyes.

Shinji: “Brother.”

Aikani: “Fight to protect the ones you love.” Patting his shoulder once I left him and went to Rei’s side. We headed for class leaving him and Asuka. The bell rang signaling the opening of school.

Six hours later…

Rei: “Dear, dear!” I awoke from my nap to see the classroom empty with the exception of the gang and myself.

Aikani: “School’s over?”

Kensuke: “You were out like a rock.”

Touji: “I’ve been known to sleep through some of his lessons but to sleep through the whole day. You’re good.” I just sheepishly laughed at the comment. However, Hikari didn’t look like she agreed with the jock.

Hikari: “It’s nothing to joke about Suzuhara! Please Aikani, could you at least try to stay awake for one lesson next time? It’s disrespectful to the teacher doing such things.” I got up and stretched my tired muscles. Looking around, it seemed that we were truly the only ones here. “Aikani, are you listening?”

Aikani: “It’s not my fault that he only talks about Second Impact all the time. Having listened to it once is enough. Ain’t that right, Touji?”

Touji: “You said it.” He suddenly cried out in pain as the class rep grabbed his ear.

Hikari: “Don’t encourage him.” We all laughed at the ‘almost’ couple’s antics. I then saw Shinji holding hands with Asuka laughing. Guess he took what I said to heart. Alright. I put one foot on top of my desk and looked at my companions.

Aikani: “Time to go out and party!”

Touji & Kensuke: “Yeah!” Hikari looked over to Asuka.

Hikari: “You don’t have anything to do tonight?”

Asuka: “I’m pretty sure that we don’t have anything, right Shinji?”

Shinji: “I think it’ll be better if we told Misato about it. She might have to fend for herself tonight.” She nodded her head in agreement and took out her phone.

Asuka: “Hi, Misato? It’s Asuka, listen the gang was thinking about going out tonight. Is that okay?” As we listened for Asuka’s reply the look on her face soon told us they’d be busy tonight. “Oh, okay. What? Wait, why is he coming? What do you mean the commander asked for him personally? I know, but. You’ve got to be kidding me! He can’t be! But… but… Fine.” She looked deep in thought for a moment and it seemed she was solely focus on it.

Shinji: “Asuka is something up?” It took a good second or two for her to acknowledge Shinji’s presence before getting up.

Asuka: “Sorry Hikari. We have tests today. We’ll go out tomorrow.” With that she grabbed Shinji’s hand and led him outside. I then felt a tugging at my own hand and noticed Rei trying to get my attention.

Aikani: “Shall we go Rei?” She soon took a firm grip of my hand and started to lead me to the door. “Until tomorrow friends.” I waved at them before heading out.

Rei: “I wonder what got Asuka so worked up.”

Aikani: “Hell, I don’t know.” We then spotted my brother and Asuka at the school gate and hurried to their spot. “Waiting for us?” Asuka just glared at me while my brother just looked at us. “What’s with the shitty atmosphere?”

Shinji: “We have test today and we’re told to take you with us.”

Rei: “I don’t understand why that would be such a problem.”

Asuka: “Don’t you get it? Why would they let a civilian like him into a high security place like NERV?”

Rei: “But Aikani’s already been inside NERV trice. I would think that they have already made him a little exception to the rule.” Asuka just grinned at the explanation Rei gave and started to walk away.

Asuka: “I’ll let Misato explain it.” Maybe I should tell Rei that I’m apart of NERV now. Although that would raise questions as to how I got accepted. We then followed the irritated red head. Suddenly two cars pulled up besides us and men in black stepped out. Must be with NERV. The others just went over and waited for the one of the men to say something.

NERV Guy: “We’ve been told to pick you up and transport you to NERV headquarters.”

Everyone nodded in agreement and picked a car. Shinji and Asuka in one. Rei and I in the other. The cars set off for NERV. However something was tugging at my mind. From Asuka’s conversation with Misato it was obvious the commander wanted me there personally. What could the asshole want?

Aikani: “ I don’t like this.” Rei turned to face me.

Rei: “Like what?”

Aikani: “What could commander Ikari want with me? I don’t know what he’s planning but I ain’t gonna like it one bit I bet.”

Rei: “Dear.” I then saw it. The confusion in Rei’s eyes. She must still admire the bastard. I mean he’s been there for her longer then I have. But that doesn’t excuse him about his true goal. And his plans for Rei. I put my arm around her and brought Rei close to me.

Aikani: “Rei, remember our first date?”

Rei: “How could I forget? With everything that happened I’m surprised that it didn’t end up in a disaster.”

Aikani: “On the contrary. It just brought us closer a lot faster.” The date was supposed to be simple. Some walking around, shopping maybe, a quick meal, a movie, a nice restaurant, and finally a walk in the park. But…

Rei: “I didn’t know the others were so concerned about us.”

Aikani: “They followed us all the way till we lost them at the restaurant.” They had in some way brought me and Rei closer with all those weird incidents that either ended up with me protecting Rei, or Rei and I being in an odd position were we were close, physically. “Remember what I told you when we got home?” Rei just rest her head on my shoulder and put her arms around my waist.

Rei: “Yes, I remember.” Through that one date I had realized how much I cared for Rei, even if she was an anime character. I couldn’t care less. Maybe if I’m lucky I’ll be stuck here for the rest of my life.

Aikani: “Rei, I will always protect you till my last breath.” She had just stared at me unable to fully grasp what I had said. She smiled and asked why I had said such a thing, even though she knew the answer. And I told her…

Rei: “Because you love me, right?” I could only smile at her. I remembered that that was the night we had truly started sleeping together. And I mean together. Its funny how things turn out with the right accidents. That was the only date that things went so off course. Something caught my attention and I noticed Rei’s face coming closer to mine. We were inching slowly together until we were a centimeter apart.

NERV Driver: “Ahem.” Oh you son of a bitch. “We’ll be approaching the gates soon. From there you are to head to the briefing room. The commander will be waiting for you there.” I could only express my frustration with a simple grunt to acknowledge his report.

Rei: “Oh don’t let that interrupt us.” She forcefully kissed me with a passion. I melted away at the advance till I replied with my own. As long as Rei is besides me I don’t care what the fuck that bastard has install for us. I’ll take it head on and throw is back in his face.

NERV was a lot easier to navigate when you actually knew where you were. It didn’t make it less of a walk but a lot easier. We soon reached the briefing room. Once the door slid open I was able to see the personal assembled there. The dick, of course, sub-commander Fuyutsuki, Misato, Maya, Dr. Akagi, Lieutenant Hyuga, Lieutenant Aoba, and Kaji. The moment they saw us there was a tone in the atmosphere that told us that this would be an interesting experience.

Kaji: “Why if it isn’t the mysterious child who led the way with the assault on the seventh angel. I must say that the plan you came up with was pretty ingenious.” That’s because you came up with it. Idiot.

Aikani: “Thanks.”

Fuyutsuki: “If all of you would take a seat then I’ll be explaining the report the Marduk Institute sent us and Dr. Akagi will be going over the tests for today. ” We all took a seat and it soon ended up with me in the middle between Rei and Maya. “The Marduk Institute has recently sent us a report concerning the finding of three children capable in becoming pilots.” Three? “The names of the first two have been deemed classified due to the eligibility of the said children. However the sixth has been cleared of all requirements and is capable of piloting an Evangelion immediately.”

Shinji: “Do you mean the reason you told us to bring my brother here is because…” Oh shit! Shinji you didn’t need to tell them that.

Gendo: “I see you’ve told him, son.” Time to play it cool.

Aikani: “How couldn’t I? Old man.” The room went silent as we exchanged looks. I wasn’t about to let this bastard have his way with things. More then likely he’s already added me to his scenario. Better just go for it. “So, you’ve got an Eva waiting for me or what? After all that’s why you brought me down here isn’t it, asshole?” The said word got everyone’s attention as we simply had a stare down.

Shinji: “Brother, father.”

Gendo: “You seem to have taken my ability for analysis.” He stood and left for the exit. “As a matter of fact, we have an Eva ready for a synch test especially made for you. Good luck.” With that he exited the door.

Fuyutsuki: “Well now that that matter is closed. Dr. Akagi, I’ll leave you with the details of the test.” He then proceeded in following my father. –whistle-

Misato: “You got some guts, kiddo.” Since Misato was behind us she had a good position to ruffle my hair. The image got a giggle out of Rei and Maya.

Ritsuko: “I hope that the antics will stop once we proceed with the test.” Misato stopped what she was doing and listened on to Ritsuko’s explanation. “As the commander was saying. We already have an Evangelion ready for a synch test with the sixth child.”

Asuka: “Now just hold on! What Evangelion? Last time I checked there was no mention of a transport of an Eva to headquarters.” She did have a point.

Ritsuko: “Of course there’s no mention since there was no need to. The other Evas are still in production at other NERV facilities.”

Asuka: “Then what do you mean ‘there was no need to’?” Now I get it. After all Asuka is a genius. I leaned over to Rei’s ear and whispered my thoughts.

Aikani: “Now I get why she’s been in a grumpy mood since the call.”

Rei: “Why’s that?”

Aikani: “She thinks I’ll be using her Eva.” Rei just giggled at the silliness of Asuka’s behavior. Honestly she treats it like a toy.

Ritsuko: “Since Aikani is Shinji’s biological brother then he would have similar results in synching with Unit-01 rather then the others.”

Kaji: “No need to get upset Asuka. They are brothers.”

Asuka: “Shinji! You’re not gonna let this happen are you?!” I then noticed Shinji’s still figure in his chair. He must be going over everything that just transpired just now. “Shinji?” Asuka had grabbed a hold of Shinji’s hand, which brought him out of his stupor. I also noticed a grin on both Misato’s and Kaji’s faces. He turned his head towards me and just said one thing.

Shinji: “Do your best.” I grinned with my reply.

Aikani: “Of course.” We went through all the necessary things in order for my test. They even gave me a locker in the changing bay with my own set of plug suits. All of them exactly the same as Shinji’s. By the time I had gotten to the cage it felt really embarrassing for me to be wearing something so… so… gay. It was like wearing a skintight suit made of rubber.

Misato: “Looking good.”

Aikani: “Are you hitting on me?” Please god; don’t let her be drunk later on tonight. She just winked at me.

Misato: “Maybe.” To say I was shocked was an understatement.

Ritsuko: “Going for the young ones after all?” Misato then started to back up in the opposite direction and said something about being in the observation room. “She’ll never change. So are you ready?”

Aikani: “As ready as I’ll ever be.”

Ritsuko: “Good. We’ll shall we get to it?”

Aikani: “Right.” Getting into the entry plug was easy; the fact that it was filling up with LCL wasn’t easy to get accustomed to. The internal monitor came up as the liquid hit my face.

Shinji: “Brother, don’t hold your breath. It’ll just make it harder on you.”

Rei: “It’s fine, dear. You won’t drown.” Easy for them to say.

Asuka: “Just breath you pervert.”

Aikani: “Is it necessary to call me such things in front of people I haven’t even gotten to know yet?” Hey wait a sec. I’m not dying. Man, it leaves a bad taste.

Misato: “Are you okay?”

Aikani: “Yeah just stinks a little.”

Maya: “You’ll get use to it.”

Rei: “Just like all of us did.” Alright! Let’s get things rolling!

Ritsuko: “All right we’re going to start the synch process as soon as.”

Maya: “Dr. Akagi! The process has already started!”

Ritsuko: “WHAT?!!!”

Shinji: “Brother!”

Rei: “Aikani!” It all went dark at this point. Then the light came.

Voice: “So you’ve finally made it?”

Aikani: “Yeah, I have. Mother.” I looked on to see mother in her plug suit just like in the series.

Yui: “You never cease to amaze me, you know that?” I walked over to where she was and sat down. A green lawn soon materialized around us. We were in a park somewhere. “This is the park right next to where we use to live in Tokyo-2 just before we moved.” An image came across my face. It was of us. Gendo, mother, Shinji and me.

Aikani: “How?”

Yui: “You see son, with the power to enter another world you also have the power of creating an existence of yourself. Meaning when you came here you was introduced to this world’s history.” But that doesn’t make sense. When the hell did I get this power? I never asked for anything like this before. And why isn’t mother affected too? “The reason why I’m not affected is because I was the one who called you here in the first place, remember?” I laughed out loud at this recent development and just looked into the imaginary sky. “What’s so funny?”

Aikani: “I’m just laughing at how pathetic I am. In my world I was always powerless to do anything. Even in another world I’m powerless by what fate throws my way. I had thought that if I could plan everything out I could alter it somehow. To my own design. Everything would fall into place and soon I would be in control of everything.” Mother just simply walked over to me and slapped me in the face. I looked at her to see tears starting to show up in her eyes.

Yui: “Don’t ever say that again!” She then embraced me and just held me. “Are you listening to yourself? You’re sounding just like him.” Another image flashed through my mind. This time it was of Gendo.

Aikani: “Sorry mom.” She let go and whipped her eyes and just smiled at me. “So what are you planning? You didn’t drag me down here for some family chit-chat, eh?” She then put a hand on her hip while pointing at me with the other in a disapproving manner.

Yui: “This is no time to joke around. I have a present for you.” With that a giant figure appeared.

Aikani: “What the hell?” Then it showed itself. It had the figure of an Evangelion but the parts seemed mechanized, like a Gundam. “Mom, what is this thing?”

Yui: “You’re the pilot, you should know.”

Aikani: “Are you kidding? Me?” She nodded her answer and I couldn’t stop myself from jumping for joy. “So what does it do?”

Yui: “I… really don’t know.” My footing failed me.

Aikani: “How could you not know?! I mean didn’t you create it?”

Yui: “Nope. You did. Here.” Images flew into my head. I had created this thing. It was during my seventh grade year. I had just finished watching NGE from a friend and I came up with the idea of combining an Eva with a Gundam. The body would be that of an Eva will the armor components would be that of Wing Zero-custom. The weapons system would be all interior. It could wipe out an angel in no time. “See. This is my gift to you. A tool to help you with your mission and to protect the ones you love.”

Aikani: “Saw that talk I had with Shinji, too?”

Yui: “A mother is all knowing.” Right. Creepy. “ I heard that.” Uhhh…

Aikani: “Thanks mom.”

Yui: “So what are you going to name it?”

Aikani: “I’ll call it…”

Shinji: “Brother! Are you alright?!”

Misato: “Aikani can you hear me?! Report!”

Aikani: “Chillax everyone. No need to get upset.”

Misato: “The Eva turned white and we lost communications with you for 5 minutes!”

Aoba: “Captain! You better look at this!” I then felt something in my hand.

Misato: “What is it?”

Aoba: “That’s not Unit-01.”

Misato: “What?” I looked down to see my hands holding Unit-01 by the hand. I looked around to see the interior of the cockpit was quite different then what it looked like when I had gotten in it the first time.

Rei: “Aikani?” Thanks for the gift, mother.

Aikani: “Ladies and gents, I’d like you to meet Eva Unit-0X.”
