A few days after Chris was founded on the ship, he felt more comfortable. He roamed the hallways until he stumbled onto the room next door to him, it read, "Warning Very Dangerous at Night!"He didn't care , what did he have to lose anyway. He placed his hand on the pad and the door opened.
Walking in with caution, the room was pitch black. His eyes adjusted to the darkness. He saw Tribal weapons and paintings on the wall, he noticed a meditation pad on the floor. The incense were burning, it was a fresh stick. "Funny, these are still burning...Someone is still in here." He turned around and and a club swung his way. He ducked and hit the club out of the mysterious beings hand, but that wasn't the only thing it had. When he came up a staff hit him. He dropped like dead weight. Suddenly he was knocked unconscious.
He woke up with the worst headache, and noticed his surroundings changed, he was laying on the ground in a rain forest.
"A rain forest in a spaceship?? I gotta stop eating the peanut butter late at night!"
A load roar soared deep within the desolate rain forest, he turned in all the directions. Red eyes burned through him like a fire spread, it pierced his soul. He was immobilized for a brief second then the eyes dashed toward him. The beast emerged from the shadows, it was a black tiger, only found on planet Zarenu had them. Frozen in his place, but he some how dodge the big cat's fierce swipe. This unfroze him and he sprinted the other way.
"Oh no, not this! Wasn't expecting that big tiger!"
Running for his dear life, a spear shot out of the trees, and was thrown right in front of his path. He hesitated and searched the canopies of the rain forest, he found a dark figure. Froze again, but he felt hot breath brush the back of his neck. He thawed rather quickly and pulled his head from the jaw of the vicious tiger. He continued running from the exotic tiger with white stripes and fangs that could shred through the toughest alloy. They hard to come by but they weren't easy to run from. They can run up to 65 miles per hour, second only to the extinct cheetah on Earth, the way Chris was running he out ran both of those cats.
He found a huge tree to climb, "Can't get me now! Big cats like you can climb these tall tree!" he chuckled, until he heard the leave rustle amongst themselves. He turned back and saw the dark figure, he quiver in fear and lost his balance. He fell off the tree branch.
A 1000 foot drop could kill any human being , but somehow Chris survived, unconscious but alive.
Back in the Medical Unit. Chris received medical attention from Nurse Nancy again.
"What a fall, didn't think he'd survive."
Chris woke up with an oxygen mask over his face, instead of two figure he saw three. Captain Ahab , Nurse Nancy and a young African woman. Her early twenties, tribal paint on her face and a tattoo on her right arm reading, "Nava nue kowa sina." Her hair cut short like a man's, gold bracelets, and her skin like black silk.
He moved his masked down to his chin, speaking, "Captain Ahab..."
He looked around, "How did I get in the medical unit? My memory is very vague...Black tigers, mysterious being that attacked me, and falling from a huge tree." Captain shook his head.
"Son, that wasn't a dream, Saha here" pointing at his second daughter, " was the mysterious being chasing you."
Chris eyes diverted from the Captain to her, and he chuckled.
"She doesn't seem like the type to hurt a fly, let alone a person."He was aggravated by his daughter's actions, he yanked her arm and pulled her out of the ER.
She knew that her father was about to get to the bottom of this.
"Father, he isn't human! He fell out of the tallest tree and survived, an average human would die!" His face had the same expression on it and he spoke in a calm voice, "Saha, you must understand he is a unique, more like a super human. He doesn't know it." If he can out run and slip away from you pet Zulu then that's amazing! Don't tell him his memory was erased while he entered the ship." He looked through the glass and saw Chris laughing and having conversation with Nurse Nancy. "I'm telling you amazing."
When Captain looked back at Saha, see was already gone. He walked his ship, and came across his third daughter's room. It opened but no one passed through it, "May Ling...your next to see what our "passenger" is capable of." The door closed and he headed back to his quarters.
